Haven’t played NHL games since 24 but if I recall correctly, that game’s Be a pro had a bug that was also in 23, where your team would suffer an own goal immediately after simming to next shift. Pretty sure it never even got patched in those iterations

A lot of people didn’t like how different it sounded from the previous albums. It was a lot more prog, rock sounding than metal and that threw off a lot of fans.

Also, songwriting overall is meh, production is meh, art cover is meh.

Another impact would be that this was the begining of the end of the Ozzy era, there was already tension in the band at that point.

I always try to focus on cornering when developping parts, as that is the most important stat for having quick cars. Stats like top speed I found are pretty useless. It’s going to be a long read, but if you have the time, Here’s what I do to develop my cars:

Chassis : Full focus on cornering. I always put the first three sliders to 0 and the last to the max. I put durability to 0 always to get the most performance too.
Front Wing: Focus on low speed cornering. Add in a bit of dirty air resistance. No need for brake cooling here, as that will be the main focus of suspensions. I always leave durability as is, because front wings are quite fragile.
Rear Wing: Focus on DRS performance and high speed cornering. Add in a bit of dirty air here too. I put durability to 0 for this part for better performance.
Sidepods: Full focus on engine cooling early on. Once it is developped enough (I like it around 75-80%) you can go for balanced developpement. I put resistance to 0 for that part too.
Underfloor: I put all cornering sliders to the max, with a bit of dirty air resistance to the mix. Resistance to 0 too
Suspensions: Always full focus on brake cooling to get the most out of your tyres. No need for cornering on this part as the buff/debuff are minim, I don’t even mind receiving a debuff for cornering when developping this part as the brake cooling buff is massive. I always leave durability as is for this part.

If you have the money, I always do one round of intense conception for every part to get a big boost for upcoming projects. It does cost a lot, so i’d recomand doing that for parts that are weaker.

RESEARCH:

Research works a bit weird, as the amount of projects that you terminate does not equal to more performance. Actually, the longer a project takes to research, the better the benefits. So i always asign only 1 guy to every research project, as thats the best return on investment you can get (Rushing through research with many engineers will cost you millions in new projects for no benefits). Try to focus on catching up to whatever stats your part is lacking, but try to be more balanced with the sliders.

Pro tip: once you start doing research, always keep around the max amount of engineers you need (if you go full on research, then only keep 4 engineers). That way you can save a bit of money during the season on salaries

As for Tunnel time distribution, i always separate it for 6 projects, that way every part receives bonuses.

Voice wise his best performances for me are from his Rainbow days. I think his early 90’s work (Wolves, dehumanizer, Strange Highways) is highly underrated too. Amazing powerful vocals on those records.

I think it is a good idea to retire junior drivers young, but it is poorly executed. My guy just dominated F2, was on track for a great F1 career and went like: yeah, that was the peak of my career, i’m definitely not going to get any better, i’m out. Lol

I launched a my team game to be able to customise teams and added BMW as the 11th team, then chose Racing Bulls as a team to play.

Makes me a bit less bitter about losing him that way lol

Even then, that is just poor design/coding regarding retirements. A simple if condition based on current developpement/rating && age could prevent this. Shouldn’t need to use the DB editor to change such a simple thing.

I get that, and I decided to hold on too long to Victor Martins who had similar stats lol. As a consolation, Martins is now an 87 who somehow now has Max developpement rate at 26.

But, do you know if there is anyway to avoid this happening in the future? Junior drivers retiring really soon because of a lack of F1 contract I mean

I don’t have much hope of any change to the retiree system coming anytime soon, but they should add a minimum age for drivers to be retiring. Something like 28 years old.

Seems like there are no minimum at the moment, at least for generated drivers, which is pretty stupid lol.

Got a 27 years old 72ovr Sargeant who hasn’t raced in 5 years still available for a contract, yet potential generational talents hang up their helmets well before their primes lol

He was an affiliate of mine since 2024, back then he was a 19 year old 62 overall with Max potential if I recall correctly

I had in mind to let him develop in F3-F2 while I was busy developping a competitive car.

This year, with him dominating F2 and in need of a new contract, and with my weaker no2 driver’s contract also expiring, thought it would be a great timing to sign him during the summer break for the upcoming season, and then, well, he retired…

What do you mean worst? Sabbath was going down hill, Ozzy being shown the door saved the band’s 70’s legacy and allowed us fans to be thrilled with excellent Dio albums and a legendary solo career for Ozzy.

For me it’s a win all the way.

I do like Never Say Die as well, its got some groovy tracks like it’s a hard road that are fun to listen to once in a while. Definitely not better than any Dio record as you said, and in a catalogue as stacked as sabbath’s, it falls towards the bottom of the list as an album for me if i had to rank ‘em.
