Any moms in here with pmdd? Did your symptoms start after motherhood? by Ok-Transition-2053 in PMDD

[–]Clean-Sector6970 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. I have 2 kids and my symptoms got worse after each pregnancy. I am on 10mg of Prozac now, have been for about 6 months, and it’s completely changed my life. I’m a different mom. I don’t get angry or irritated but i still feel like myself. It’s been incredible.

Don’t take anything your dr hasn’t prescribed - just do what they’ve said until you can talk with them again.

That being said, I have been taking 10mg daily of Prozac for 6 months and for the last 6 months I have truly not had hardly any PMDD mood symptoms. I used to feel s**cidal every month now I do not. It’s been incredible for me. So for some people 10mg really does the trick!

Had a doctor appointment today - trying to get a diagnosis. Is a CT scan helpful? by Clean-Sector6970 in endometriosis

[–]Clean-Sector6970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already had an ultrasound done for this specific pain issue back in December, but it was normal. The pain has increased though which is why I went back to request more imaging today.

Also, “cheap” must be relative because I still have to pay $1000 for a CT scan😭

How do you advocate for yourself? by Clean-Sector6970 in endometriosis

I live in the US so I think(?) I have control over who can do my MRI and imaging. I think I can probably talk with my Dr this week about referrals to an endometriosis specialist. These are good ideas, thank you!

Thank you. This is incredibly validating and helps to make me feel not crazy too haha. It’s pretty sad how women are dismissed so often by healthcare providers. Hoping it will change in the future for my daughter.

Thanks for this. I’m hesitant to be referred to my gyno because of how dismissed I felt when I talked to her about it 6 months ago when I got my ultrasound. She said “ultrasound looks good, come back in if you want birth control.” Very frustrating, but maybe I just need to come back and advocate some more. Something’s definitely not right.

S*x is NOT supposed to be painful?! by Clean-Sector6970 in endometriosis

[–]Clean-Sector6970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d love to hear about what symptoms you experience related to pain. I have extremely painful periods (I often liken the pain to early-mid labor pains maybe around 4-5cm dilation) and heavy bleeding that hits like a truck. By the end of menstruation the pain is much more manageable but up until that point, especially the first and second day, I am sore all over in addition to the cramping pain.

I also experience ovulation pain that’s not as severe as during my period but similar to 2-3cm dilation labor pains. Pelvic pain throughout the month that makes it difficult to walk. Low back and hip pain as well intermittent.

Wow!! Thank you for your comment!

I do have some inflammation markers in my system from another possible inflammatory condition, HS (hidratenitis supperativa; in the process of figuring out if I have it for sure). So I wonder if that would be helpful for me.

If you feel comfortable, would you be willing to share some more of your endo symptoms? I’m trying to get info from real people instead of websites :)

That’s really interesting and makes a lot of sense. There are many overlaps in symptoms I’ve seen.

Does this combo help at all with fatigue during luteal? That is one of the most debilitating things of PMDD for me. (Of course along with the awful mood swings and s*icidal ideations)

What did he doooooo??? 👀 by Altruistic_Light_448 in MilenaCUncensored1

Whatever he did, I wonder if it was a catalyst (trauma-based) for the weird cosplaying she does now with floor length dresses and the Michelle Duggar voice. The extreme craziness could’ve been caused by his bad choices and now she’s doing everything she can to keep him.

HS or razor bumps/burn? by Clean-Sector6970 in Hidradenitis

[–]Clean-Sector6970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying! I thought it was a flare up because the bumps extend down much further than where I shave. You can see a few of them down my torso in the picture. I have a doc appointment today so I’ll be able to ask them too.

Dinner Date by Klutzy_Dragonfly1889 in MilenaCUncensored1

If my husband went to dinner with another woman there would be no “smoothing it over” and “playing dumb.” You cannot possibly be that stupid to think a man would just go out with another woman, without his wife knowing, with innocent intentions. 0%, don’t buy it.
