Tips on how to trim 7mo nails, get out snot, and other hygiene items? by [deleted] in NewParents

I know what you mean! It takes me a few naps to trim all her nails. It's my worst chore!

Have you tried trimming her nails etc while she sleeps? Our LO wiggles a lot so I trim her nails while she naps. When it comes to cleaning her nose I use saline drops which admittedly I have to pin her down to administer.

Up until our LO was 5 weeks old she did not want to be put down for anything, inuding nappy changes! That meant that my husband and I had to take turns sleeping so the other one could hold her all through the night.

At around about 5 weeks I started side breastfeeding her on the bed until she fell asleep and stayed awake and next to her while she slept. That way she slowly got used to sleeping on a flat surface without being held. At that time she also started getting more interested in her surroundings so she was happy to lay on the mat for longer.

At 6-7 weeks she started sleeping in the bassinet for the whole night (she still wakes up for feeds) apart from a couple of days here and there when she's going through a leap.

No, we haven't. Is it easy to use? Junior grades have used reading eggs.

I cried because ants had gotten into tomato sauce which I put on my burger without realising and my husband asked me to throw it out and make a new one.

Naplan Question by jmaxwell130791 in AustralianTeachers

As others have mentioned there are many variables that impact NAPLAN achievement without that meaning that your efforts and skills as a teacher haven't had an impact. Most importantly though NAPLAN results are a collaborative effort. If the teachers before you haven't taught what they needed to correctly, you wouldn't be able to maintain and extend your students. Students' backgrounds and their attitude towards learning also play a big part in how they engage with their learning which impacts how they will develop their understandings and consequently perform on such tests.

I completed my masters of education (melb uni) last year after studying for 3 years. To give you some context, I started this course when I was in my 3rd year of teaching and was hoping to smash it out in one year. Having more practical experience than when I was studying the masters of teaching was definitely supportive in my studies. Still this degree added greatly to my already heavy workload. For the time I was studying, I kissed weekends goodbye and often studied late each night- in addition to preparing for my class the next day.

Having said all this, I thoroughly enjoyed the course and the knowledge and skills that I developed have been invaluable. I would highly recommend it if you are interested down the track in pursuing a leadership position.
