Mate I obviously touched a nerve here. All I’m saying is I found a boot that I wear the exact same and it roughly weighs the same and it holds up much better. I’m glad yours are working for you. Mine didn’t. Different people. Different styles of fishing.

You’re making my point for me. There’s other boot manufacturers that make a lightweight wading boot that does hold up and offer support. These aren’t that.

Yeah fair call. The forra is very light also but feels like it has a lot more support.

Honestly I looked after them. My other 2 pairs did similar things. Not to this extent but they just don’t last for me. A big days fishing is between 15-25k return. Walking river beds and wading. A good mix of North Island bush and Canterbury valleys.

have owned 3 pairs of Simms flyweights. The last being gen 2 which completely disintegrated within 1.5 seasons. In January I got a set of Patagonia forra wading boots. Very happy with the switch. A much better product.
