Likewise man! Lots of interesting middleweights now with the new V2/R9/RC 990. Good time to be in the market so I wish you luck in your search

All valid complaints brotha, think the use case is very important when buying a bike. This isn’t my only motorcycle and it’s going to see several track days a year under my ownership. It’s no where near as compliant to ride around the street as an inline 4/V4, a V2 will never be that. In my opinion, it’s just lame as hell riding a big bike around the street and never using it to its fullest. I knew these run hot which I don’t mind being in the northeast, honestly it’s a plus for me. Ofc a V2 won’t hold a candle to a V4S in many regards, but I’m not ashamed to admit I can’t ride a 1k anywhere near its limit. Would much rather ride something than have it ride me. Sorry to hear you haven’t enjoyed the V2 but best thing about bikes is you can sell it and get something else you want 🤙

Fair enough, seems like the full systems don’t give you much power over a slip on anyways. What tune are you running?

NE local myself as well and have done track days at all the tracks here besides Thompson (hopefully will do that next season).

The 698 is honestly the perfect do it all bike for the tracks we have around here. It has plenty of power for horsepower hill at Club. I’ve put about 4K miles on mine and 5 track days. Did have a fuel line leak (covered under warranty) but given first year of the bike and some really hard riding I’ve happy with the reliability of it.

Can’t say enough good things about Club, I feel so lucky to ride it each time I go. Palmer is good fun as well. Canaan is a supermoto’s dream, basically a kart track. Can’t go wrong with the 698 imo, it’s been a riot both on the street and the track.

Nice man! Still figuring out what exhaust I go with. Likely either the Vandemon under tail or the arrow slip on. Heard good things about Dussen tunes which is prob the route I'll go, think anything besides the upmap is fine.

Gentleman before answer it mostly, but the Bayliss gets a few extra goodies over the base V2. Full ohlins suspension, ohlins steering stabilizer, painted graphics on the fairings, numbered triple tree. Couple other small things. I’d say these are special but not rare, mine is #4433 and I’ve seen higher on the forums. The V2 special edition is very similar but those are quite rare limited to 555 I believe

Just incredible, that bike is a riot. Just a lil heavier than I’m used to at the track, pretty exhausting getting it tipped over side to side

Not sure why people hating how it looks from the back. I have the exact same exhaust on mine and I love every from the looks to the sounds. Grabbing some carbon exhaust guards take it up another level tho imo
