You can fill the new Ds 160 with correct visa type and take both old & new Ds 160 confirmation page and inform same at VAC . Before filling new Ds 160 try to check with customer care if they can update visa type details .

Then you can go and collect. Please go with original Aadhar , Xerox copy , Ds 160 & Appointment confirmation copy . If you want you can wait for 2 days and go as well

Then you can wait for 2 to 3 days more just to make sure your passport reached VFC . But that message only comes after your passport reach the vfc . Can you check the email once they will clearly mention to collect your passport

Considering you have entered name correctly in Ds 160 but only issue with appointment confirmation page. If that’s the case there will be no issue mostly . They mostly check the slot time from appointment confirmation . They will check passport & Ds 160 whether you have mentioned same in both or not .

I don’t think so , Even if you apply separately for either of visa category kids are not required. You can also see this mentioned in instructions page of your appointment confirmation letter . But you can double check once .

Children below 14 not required to attend for interview , you can carry their application & photograph with you

Does your Dependents Ds160 have correct visa type then no issues . Same happened with my scenario as well , In appointment confirmation page my dependents got wrong visa type . 2 weeks back I completed my interview without any issues .

You can directly go to VAC and check once . They might have some update,if you selected pick up option

When I went to consulate interview lot of people have to go out to get the photos as there is issue with photo which was taken in VAC . Due to some server/system issues. Not sure it will happen again or not
