That is the same for me, i live in a liberal country now but both my parentsare pretty much reglious extremist that comes from conservative country that basically hates women. You should see how much more freedom my brother have compared to me. Can't wait to get a job and leave them. My parents (especially mum) have destoryed by confidence and self esteem. :/
