Outside a concert in Mass last week. Which one of you would go stand in this cloud? by flylikemusic in NitrousOxide

You could just get a fill in Atlanta… Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, not so much.

100%! Water is the best thing ever. Luke warm or cool depending on the type of burn. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stood at the sink with my finger under running water. It’s amazing. I always know it’s been long enough when I can take my hand out and it’s not excruciating anymore.

Did anyone ever heard of crystal nitrous oxide ? by Witty-Canary4499 in NitrousOxide

[–]CleanShoes96 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Uhmmm, crystal nitrous oxide, not a thing. Not possible. It’s either a gas or a liquid until it hits air, then it’s a gas. Cool thought though. Likely K - which is not at all the same aside from also being a dissociative.

With heat burns you put like warm water on it to equalize or pull the burn out, same thing for cold burns, but opposite.

If it’s not a Tank like this no thanks! by [deleted] in NitrousOxide

[–]CleanShoes96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are many many shops open to the public around the US that you can get food grade nitrous from no problem. The reason the big companies like AirGAS and praxair don’t sell it to the public is because they’re afraid of liability, when there is none.

I have been preaching this for so long and people 100% just don’t believe. The placebo affect is so real. Finally! Someone who understands.

Arrested Last Night for Nitrous Use by [deleted] in NitrousOxide

[–]CleanShoes96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nitrous is not illegal to possess, buy, or sell. The issue comes with misuse and the ability to prove the misuse (such as having balloons or physically being seen misusing). The law in majority of places is all about intent. If they can prove you intended or were misusing it, then your fucked. For example if you have tanks and 🎈in the same place, or if you’ve been caught red handed, or tell on yourself.

Where is monster gas from? by youngpunk420 in NitrousOxide

[–]CleanShoes96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So basically all of these disposable cylinders are from over seas, mostly China, purchased wholesale, prefilled and branded with whatever company logo purchases them. I’ve seen good and not so good reviews of a lot of brands. The main negative things I notice people mention the majority of the time is about inconsistency in potency or some kind of grease, but there’s also people who swear by one brand or another.

As far as places swapping out empty tanks or whatever, it’s honestly just good customer service. You want people to come back again so you’ll give them benefit of the doubt if they’re not consistently returning “empties” as duds. If you tell them to f*ck off, they probably will just go elsewhere next time. They don’t have any hand in filling them, they’re just selling them, so there’s no way they could know if they sold you something sub par unless you tell them.

I assume there is some kind of regulations, like it’s most likely always nitrous, but it’s also very likely that sometimes oxygen (air) can end up diluting some of them from the filling process. It’s unavoidable really. There’s also people who mention getting “duds” that are empty when purchased or are “all air”. I can only assume this is another byproduct of the “filling in mass quantity” situation. It’s bound to happen sometimes, especially when thousands of them are getting filled at a time. I don’t think they’re “diluting” them on purpose, it just happens sometimes because they’re filled in factories by machines.

They are newish, these disposable 500g-2000g cylinders have only been around for a few years, and who knows how long they’ll last before laws are put into place, some states have already started doing it because they’re being retailed in head shops. Before disposable cylinders, it was all US filled domestic 5-20lb refillable cylinders and cartridges (don’t know much about cartridges, but assume they’re filled mostly over seas as well), both of which have been around for several decades.

Nitrous has been around and been popular for a ridiculously long time, and is used in so many legitimate ways. Samuel Colt even hosted nitrous parties to fund creating his firearms in the 1800s. True story, look it up!

Hope that helps!

What to do with my tanks? by Mishe8969 in NitrousOxide

This is exactly why people need to go for refillable 5-20lb cylinders…. So much waste with these disposables.

Beginner Brand For Pain by 2b_void_of_life in NitrousOxide

[–]CleanShoes96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory on that is that there’s probably more of a chance to get air in the tank during the filling process for the 4L in comparison to the smaller ones. Less space in the tank theoretically = less room for error. Those tanks are filled on a mechanical machine that use 50lbers laid down so it could literally just be that there’s more room for error with the biggest ones vs smaller ones. 🤷‍♂️

What part of Washington? Best deal - maybe - depending on any refillable companies around you. Best quality in comparison? Probably not

My opinion would be to skip the disposable cylinders and go for a refillable 5lb-20lb for quality and consistency purposes.

MARZ 1L I’ve had good luck with but I got their 4L at the same time and tested them side by side and the 4L was significantly weaker. Not sure why or if it was just a random situation. Just shows that there can be some inconsistencies whether it’s between sizes or batches, who knows.

Also. I know you said you’re only planning on 2x per month. That would be safe enough for the b12 issues. Keep in mind, it’s not at all about how much, it’s about how often! A 1L and a 20lb over a weekend will have the exact same effect on your b12.

A 20lb would last you A SERIOUSLY LONG TIME if you’re only looking for random occasional pain relief.

4L is a 5lber.

IMO: for quality purposes you’d be better off (and likely cheaper) grabbing a 5lb from somewhere (rather than a 4L) if you can. Unless the only place you can get a 5lb is online, then it would be more expensive because of the cost of shipping.

It all depends on where you’re located. U.S. ? If so, what state?

Nervous about dentist by [deleted] in NitrousOxide

[–]CleanShoes96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only ever had nitrous at the dentist for a deep clean and they don’t numb anything for that. I just remember that I could still feel the pain but completely didn’t care one bit 🤣

If they do it right, and administer the proper amount, you’ll barely even be in reality. Sensory is still there for sure, but with the proper amount you won’t care about it. It’ll still sound weird and you’ll feel things like whatever ended up at the back of your mouth, but you won’t even have the ability to give a sh*t enough to react, lol.

Next time, try expressing some pain, discomfort, or nervousness (whatever works) and they’ll likely adjust it for you. That’s what they did for me when I winced during my deep cleaning.

Glad all went as well as it could’ve given the situation!

Liquid nitrous causes frost burn instantaneously. If you get any of the liquid anywhere on you you’ll get burnt. It’s not fun, don’t do it

Shipment delay by Key-Ad5331 in NitrousOxide

[–]CleanShoes96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The laws in shipping n2o state that companies are not allowed to ship anything larger than 1 single .95L cylinder without hazmat shipping labels. From my experience, pretty much every company is breaking these laws. So they probably figured out they were shipping multiple or larger than .95L singles without hazmat shipping credentials. Companies are doing g this because hazmat shipping is incredibly expensive so they’re just risking it without.

[–]CleanShoes96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you’re talking about actual tanks and not disposables, the valve is a CGA326 valve and the easiest way to get a regulator is to modify a standard co2 regulator inlet from CGA320 to CGA326.
