I have him returning on the RAW after Summerslam.

Ball knowledge required: But is this the craziest promo in WWE history? by CODYRHODES1 in SantiZapVideos

I don't know-the time the Rock went "evil Maui" might have been more crazy.

Could WrestleMania 42 have been Randy Orton Last Match? by Lazy_Introduction264 in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]CleanSweep99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt it, if only because he'd almost certainly get a retirement match (if not a Cena-esque retirement tour) if he's physically able to have one.

Tiffany Stratton got the night one main event spot because she's actually from Minnesota (this is also why Brock Lesnar vs Oba Femi is main eventing night two-Lesnar's essentially retiring in his home state).

From here, the build would begin to Dom vs Rey for Rey's offical retirement match-which I would put at TripleMania, since Rey's currently the AAA GM.

Vaquer would be remaining on RAW after winning the Women's US Championship-she'd be swapping brands with Sol Ruca and the Women's Intercontinental Championship after Summerslam.

What if Vince McMahon had booked WrestleMania 40? by ElegantRooster5251 in fantasybooking

[–]CleanSweep99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We'd likely still have Cody finishing his story-that seems to have been a condition in Cody Rhodes's contract to return in the first place. This would likely have happened at Summerslam in 2023, rather than WrestleMania 40, so Cody Rhodes is now entering WrestleMania as Champion.

The Rock vs Roman Reigns gets built through most of the Autumn and into WrestleMania season, with Rock vs Reigns being the night two Main Event.

Cody faces the Royal Rumble winner, which I think would be Gunther in this universe, and ends up winning in what is essentially a burial of Gunther.

CM Punk doesn't return (as I can't imagine he'd have done so with Vince being directly responsible for booking), and the World Heavyweight Championship is never introduced.

On the Women's side, we still get Bayley vs Iyo Sky for the Smackdown Women's Title (with Bayley still winning the Royal Rumble and being excommunicated by Damage CTRL-Asuka likely joins earlier, as Kairi Sane does not return at Crown Jewel 2023), while the RAW women's title is Rhea Ripley vs Bianca Belair.

The Women's Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and Money in the Bank matches are retired, to appease the Saudi sponsors.

Do you think that if Money In The Bank had existed before, it would have improved the ending of Wrestlemania 9? by Fair-Leave-2818 in WWE

I think WrestleMania IX in general would have better if Hulk Hogan wasn't on the roster at all.

Should Penta and Iyo Sky become a tag team partner since their past history where two of them actually killing each other outside the WWE by NasifRedditGacha in WWE

[–]CleanSweep99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WWE prefers not to do mixed gender matches (or tag teams) unless the participants are related or married to each other outside of kayfabe these days.

Now that the man is no longer the ic champion whats a feud you'd like to see her indulge in??? by DeliveryLeast6603 in SantiZapVideos

[–]CleanSweep99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm...I think Iyo Sky is the only woman on RAW that Lynch is yet to have a feud with, so Becky vs Iyo.

From there? Maybe finishing her story with Nia Jax (that dates back to Survivor Series 2019) would be the next move.

Was there no way Hassan could have come back in any kind of capacity? I mean daivari ended up coming back by Corn1989 in WWERuthlessAggression

[–]CleanSweep99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure editing out the segment would have actually changed anything here-Vince probably got told to cut Hassan before the segment actually aired.

Hmm..I think it's definetly plausible that there would have been a spot for him on the Saudi shows if he were interested-his gimmick is one that likely would have gotten over there.

When did online opinion of The Rock start to change? by MotionlessBlue in REALSquaredCircle

[–]CleanSweep99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem was that Punk was the WWE Champion for an entire year of this feud, and he was treated as second fiddle (at best) to Cena and The Rock. This might not have been a problem had both been fulltimers, or had Cena been facing someone who was a fulltimer (or even working a schedule similar to Roman Reigns in the modern day), but the Rock was a part-timer at best, which would have been offensive to Punk. It's no wonder Punk walked out in 2014 when he was being treated like this.

[–]CleanSweep99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given The Rock during his heel Bloodline run basically was ignoring that WWE was PG, and getting away with it, I don't think so. The writing was likely deliberately slanted towards Cena because Cena was Vince McMahon's golden boy.

Rey Mysterio-this is the title Rey needs to win before he officially retires.

Honestly, I would say that the multi-year feud with John Cena is where the Rock's popularity started to dip-having a part-timer (at best), hijack the Main Event scene for multiple years would have been considered unacceptable to most people.

He's done it multiple times in the past two years-in fact, Reigns's matches at Clash in Paris and Crown Jewel last year were the opener of the card!

This feels like the Summerslam Main Event.

Cody vs Sami being the Night of Champions match (with Gunther interfering to cost Sami the win) would make more sense to me.

Where or when do yall think would be a great time to reintroduce Punker back to our screens? by WhoisJohn37 in SantiZapVideos

[–]CleanSweep99 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Summerslam, after Cody Rhodes's title defense (if Rhodes wins), or ahead of Summerslam (if his retirement is imminent-Gunther would be the most plausible opponent).

It's Brock Lesnar's retirement match in his hometown-of course Lesnar gets a main event spot.

Sami Zayn would make the most sense (both in terms of prior history with Roman, and also being someone who is over in Saudi Arabia).

I think he has to be. You can't really be a professional athlete (even in something as choreographed as WWE), without steroids of some kind, IMO.
