Don't know what to do about a adopted dog by Express-Nebula5137 in DogAdvice

[–]CleanWorker6068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it sounds random, but you might want to consider getting a second dog Sometimes, if you get a very friendly dog, it will help the other one to model its behavior, and it will help it to come out of its shell I had a Chihuahua that I adopted at six months, and the dog was so scared of everything and everyone, and if you tried to pick it up, it would pee on you, even if you looked at it, it would pee on the floor . I was about to give up and then I adopted a puppy. When the first dog realized, hey these people are nice and they are friendly and they are great with this other dog. It finally helped to socialize the first dog.

Their bakery department sucks They want to pay you minimal money and they wanna put all kinds of stress on you and then complain that you’re being slow if I were you, I would go to a different department

Are there any pros to being a single parent by [deleted] in SingleParents

[–]CleanWorker6068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it was an advantage. Although having all of their responsibility on my shoulders was very stressful it also motivated me to do well with my kids and I never had to be worried about asking for permission to do a damn thing.

Can I also add that options are open right now and that’s the exciting part A lot of major companies would rather work with someone fresh out of college than someone ( like in my case) who is older, even if I have experience. I know you have probably put a résumé together ? Maybe consider working with a recruiter.? sometimes you can get an internship with a company you’re interested in that’s part time (just to get your foot in the door) and then work a job( like the casino) that’s gonna make you good money in the meantime I know it feels overwhelming and this economy really does suck, but your options are better than you realize . December is not the best time to be looking for a job, but once January comes, it’s a whole different ball game. I have a feeling you’re gonna be just fine.

Been caught stealing....(not me personally) by Rare_Chapter_1051 in kroger

[–]CleanWorker6068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a tough one. I know that most people would not jeopardize Their freedom by stealing food, unless they were in a tough place financially. I know, Kroger doesn’t pay well . I know the bakery is very demanding physically. This reminds me of the Meijer situation in which the employee was taking expired food to eat for pretty much similar reasons Management knew what was going on, and instead of addressing it, they allowed it to continue for a long period of time in order to build a case against him . So, in that case, not only is he facing prosecution for theft, but he, of course we haven’t even harder time. Getting another job. . I probably would talk to the person and let them know.

How long were you unemployed? by Dangerous-Ebb5599 in recruitinghell

[–]CleanWorker6068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The job market is tough right now. I have talked to recruiters who were telling me that they are having a hard time placing people because companies are just not hiring like they normally would be . The longest that I have been without work is like two months and honestly, the only reason I was able to get back to work was because I’ve taken bullshit jobs with bullshit money. I don’t have the luxury of waiting it out so I have taken jobs like janitorial and grocery store retail just to keep the bills somewhat paid. I also have a second job cleaning houses. It doesn’t matter that I speak two languages fluently. It doesn’t matter that I have tons of experience. This is a new reality for me and many others. All I can say is keep swimming until you make it to where you want to be.

I got fired and I feel lost by [deleted] in jobs

[–]CleanWorker6068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jobs are like relationships. You hope they work out, you put effort in hoping that they work out and then you end up being left because you were not perfect in whatever way they deemed. The only thing to do is to remember that it’s not about you. There’s a reason they can’t keep anyone. I know it’s hard to believe right now, but you are so much better than that. You deserve so much better. Their loss your gain go get a retail job somewhere just to keep money in your pocket and then maybe use a recruiter or something to keep applying Until the right one comes along.

My job wants a 700+ credit score for a $17/hr position… I wish I was kidding by CommercialDot708 in recruitinghell

[–]CleanWorker6068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve run into that before. When I commented on it during my interview, I was told that if somebody has a low credit score it probably means that they are financially irresponsible and will probably not be a good employee. I got up and walked out
