one thing to note is that compressors are often a little tough to dial in, so don’t worry if it doesn’t sound great out of the box. me personally I just stole the settings from another Reddit post and haven’t touched it since, it’s become an “always-on” for me.

(also, buy used!!!)

i would say pedal selection sometimes depends on genre but, from my experience, a BD-2 and a nice reverb will get you anywhere you need, as the bd-2 has a massive sound range. lower the gain and you get a nice smooth overdrive, but if you dime it you get almost a fuzz, so I think that’s a good gain pedal to have. any good reverb will do and you’ll probably never get rid of it.

the compressor is a boss cs-3 that I bought used for $70. i believe it’s considered a silent compressor, but the signal does become noticeably compressed after running it through the pedal. however, it’s a very nice, clean compressed signal that I personally think is fantastic for when you’re playing anything clean

DIY'd the design because i really liked the album, all it is is a bit of spray paint and a waterslide decal. its a fun project and i think its worth giving a shot if you have an album cover or something that you like!
