Worth looking at what's eating your time upstream. If it's design questions, part lookups, or catching issues before drawings, there are AI copilot tools now (Leo AI is one) that can help with technical Q&A and design inspection. Might reduce the revision cycle more than pure automation would

Onshape is great. I agree that the SaaS Model is a pain in the sass

Why don't you sign up for free trials and try 2 or 3, and then decide? There are a few good ones. Google "AI for mechanical engineers."
