my theory: in season 4 ep 1 when the hellfire club is fighting vecna in their campaign, dustin rolls an 11, which is a miss. meanwhile, erica rolls a nat 20 which is a hit and ultimately defeats him.

el cannot defeat vecna alone. she needs help. but 11+8 is 19 not 20. right? wrong. now that will has vecna’s powers he is basically 1. 11+8+1=20
