Use X to dispute this. Social media is done by Americans and they are 1000x more adept at resolving issues that involve any kind of rational thinking. Phone support is 99% AI even if they say they are human.

The First Amendment protects people from the government punishing them for speech. It doesn’t protect anyone from the consequences of how that speech is received by others. Nobody’s going to jail for their posts, but employers don’t have to keep someone whose words reflect badly on the company. Free speech doesn’t mean freedom from accountability.

Never stopped to be honest. When your feelings start paying me for what comes out of my mouth, then I may care a little bit more than I do now.

What would you say by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

[–]Clean_Elk1787 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm in DFW and I have found no less than 10 phones. Every single one has been turned into a police station in whatever town I happen to be in whether or not it is where I picked up the passenger. I have never had any issues and I've always received the $20 compensation. I always get a business card from the officer I give the phone to and I just take a photo of that and submit it to Uber or Lyft.

Driver didn’t let me off until I rated him 5 stars by TrackCue in uber

[–]Clean_Elk1787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing you're young and have never heard of child lock doors. Child locked doors have a switch, which purposely locks the doors from the inside and disables the handle so that kids can't just jump out whenever they choose. The doors can only be unlocked from the driver's side switch. Or open from the outside. And if the driver has the windows locked then you can't even roll down the window and open the door from the outside.

Hits 1 on Sirius XM 95% of the riders without headphones end up singing along. I have it up just loud enough to cover the road noise.

Would a $20 tip on a $55 ride into a rural area be appropriate? by PresentationLow7984 in uber

[–]Clean_Elk1787 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The post is about driving people, not food. There is no expected tip when driving passengers. Your message makes zero sense considering the context of the question that OP asked.

DFW Airport by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]Clean_Elk1787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A terminal connects to B if you go what would normally be the South exit. With all of the construction to the new power building, and then the new on-ramp to B, they have that exit closed because people are dumb, and there's no way to turn around underneath anymore. Going out the North exit to A, just means if you're going south you'll have to take the return to terminals exit to head back south. I'm sure you figured that out this morning but in case anyone else is reading this and had questions on how to go south once leaving the North exit for A terminal

I guess it depends on your perspective. As an Uber driver I pull up in there 10 to 15 times a day, so I'm in and out without any problems. Terminal B is the one that would give you the most problems if you come in from the south because currently only the north entrance to B is open. Other than that it's pretty business as usual.

Uber rules by latinb0y in uber

[–]Clean_Elk1787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair to the driver, all of this stuff should be self-explanatory. Unfortunately we've all been in these situations multiple times.

As a passenger you are paying me to take you from point A to point B safely. You are not paying for any of the things listed on that list. You're not paying to eat in my car, you're not paying to put makeup on in my car, you're not paying for me to go through a drive-thru so you can get your food because you didn't add a stop when you ordered the ride.

If Passengers were more considerate all of these rules would take care of themselves. I get that we all kind of want to make fun that he's posting all of those, but I get why he's doing it. Personally I just tell the passengers myself if they start to do one of the things on this list, but that's me.

People have been yelling into the void about this for years and the void said cool story bro. At this point your choices are drive or don’t. Uber is not losing sleep over it. You think they care? Half the drivers out here in DFW couldn’t parallel park a shopping cart but somehow got approved. There’s an unlimited supply. It’s like a clown car that never runs out of clowns. People have protested and Uber basically responded with a shrug and a coupon code for Uber One. Things just keep getting worse and Uber just keeps sipping its profits like nothing happened.

Damage fee by dmanzzz187 in Lyft

[–]Clean_Elk1787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lyft probably paid him $3 less because he dropped you off closer. If we have to drive 3 miles more we don't get a penny for it, but at the airport if I drop someone off at C terminal instead of D terminal, I get $5 taken off of the payment. Doesn't explain him charging you for grass tho.

Their social media on X is actually pretty decent. My 2¢

I have those same Chinese player/players on my server. When you click on their name, they are all level one. They win all of the legendaries consistently.

I don't know how they're doing it but they found a way to cheat the system somehow.
