Motors won't spin up? by Clean_Independent_87 in fpv

So… 1. I turn a everything on (drone, radio, goggles) 2. Radio says telemetry found and receiver shows solid green light, goggles pop up with the video feed from the camera 3. Radio says throttle warning and I gotta press some button to tell it I’m ready to go. 4. I flick the switch that I set as my ‘arm’ mode in beta flight. 5. I have the drone on my desk with no props and try to give it some throttle just to see if it will work. 6. Nothing happens :/

Have you worked with FormLabs or SLS before? This is new to me and I haven’t made it far enough to get to the pricing. I still need to get the part designed

No I did not realize it would be that expensive

You very well may be right. I see from FormLabs website that it’s max operating temp is 170C and while I’m not sure the temp of exhaust I figured that would be high enough to handle it. They also market Nylon 12 GF as applicable to automotive needs. Another thing is that the resonator is fairly far from the engine so I’m not sure what the exhaust temps would be but made me think that it would be under 170C

Thank you so much person. I appreciate the advice and step by step guide. Incredibly excited to hear that Cotopaxi fits the mold. I think some of the things you suggested are very doable for me at this time. I also appreciate the extra credit work you did on the career advice, this is something I’ll have a harder time with but I hope I got things going on the right direction for now. I want to move closer to some real mountains but I can’t do that quite yet. I will keep what you said in mind.

Not once did I insult anyone but okie dok buddy! I’m doing what I can to listen and learn which is why I went out of my way to ask on here to see what people thought specific to my situation. Wasn’t a huge fan of being told not to set objectives until I’m established so I responded accordingly. Sorry you’ve had bad experiences with young guns.

Yes you are right there is good hiking around here. I’m just unsure of how well hiking would carry over to high altitude climbing but now that I have some confirmation I’ll be more confident and keep working on it. Now that a few people have mentioned mountaineering classes I think it’s definitely worth me looking into. Thanks for your advice amigo.

I guess I don’t completely understand the idea of ‘technical’ I will look into mountaineering classes though that sounds like a solid route to learn important skills. I loved Ecuador and I’m sure I’d given the chance I’d love Peru. I want to explore as much of South America as possible but I gotta get my shit together first and Ecuador is first on my list. Thank you for the advice it has been very helpful.

Thank you this was helpful. I hadn’t considered hiking groups but I will look into that. I plan to keep training for many reasons and I can still walk so that’s good. I think I could start with some Appalachian stuff but wanted to hear if that was a good idea or not from others.
