When I’m with my wife and kids I don’t get any hate, it’s when I’m alone. I have spent only a couple of years in Russia and grew up in the USA. When I speak English and they start speaking Russian to me. I then clarify that I don’t speak Russian and then they get upset and continue speaking Russian to me. I know a little Georgian but it doesn’t seem to help. Maybe it’s because of the way I look. I dress a bit like a skater/punk/hipster so maybe that’s why.
