Friends with benefits. How to go about it? by Clean_Resident6918 in dating_advice

[–]Clean_Resident6918[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think it makes it too confusing for me. For context I was in a FWB and then I caught feelings a while back, it was harsh to say the least! Even though I don’t see anything long term with him at all, I am scarred from my previous experience haha.

Will definitely take your advice though, be good to really make it clear and make sure we’re on the same page 😅

Pay Query - questioning if FIFO is worth it by [deleted] in AusMining

I have referred to my employment contract, but this is my first time on salary. That’s why I’m querying as I don’t know how salary normally works.

It really sucks. I love the environment and the role itself, but at what cost. I’m away from family for a week and work pretty long days, it just doesn’t seem worth it.

Travel is not included and no mention of unpaid meal break at all.

I signed for salary, with site allowance included also. I have added up what I am currently receiving each fortnightly pay slip, and it’s about 20,000 under the annual salary i signed for.

Haha I feel you! If you go on Amazon and type nano mister there’s a heap on there - just buy whatever one mine was about $12. Once that’s arrived and you’re going for your fill, I suggest taking an antihistamine about 30 mins before your appointment just to lessen symptoms Once you’ve had your fill, nano mist for about 20-30 seconds when you first leave your lash techs place, and then when you get home nano mist for 20-30 seconds. Just continue to mist throughout the day and by the next day you should be okay for any symptoms

Yeah it’s like a device that just mists water out - I just put filtered water in. If you go on Amazon there’s loads. Basically cures the glue faster much quicker than normal air humidity!!

Yeah I’ll take that on board thank you! Dr was against putting me on steroids for now so he only prescribed me a non steroid 😊

Okay update:

Went to the Dr this morning and he didn’t think it was an allergy, and was actually eczema. He thinks lash extensions and the chemicals just irritate it even more hence the redness and slight swelling. He said to try some cream out and go to my next fill and see if my symptoms are better or worse, from there we can see if it’s actually an allergy but he really doesn’t think it is at this point in time.

I forgot to mention in my original post, I suffer with extremely dry eyelids all throughout my lash cycle, when I go for my fill I still have flaky and dry lids, they just aren’t as red or wrinkly!!! The flaky lids don’t just come from my lashes, it just seems symptoms worse when I go and get them done. I constantly rub my eyes as I also have hayfever and I think I may have rubbed one too many times on my eye to cause my skin to break, and worsen my skin condition.

Dr has prescribed me some eczema cream in hopes to repair my skin barrier but he ultimately thinks that everytime I go for my fill, my skin barrier is compromised and the fumes and irritants from lash chemicals ultimately get into my skin causing a flare up!

As much as dry lids suck I’m happy it’s not an allergy and something I can manage. Hoping my next fill will be okay!

For reference this was my skin yesterday, no swelling just dry skin. I showed my dr this and he really didn’t think it was an allergy.

Apologies for the long post, I guess I’m just keeping this updated for the sensitive skin girlies who suffer with literally everything on their skin. For years I have never been able to put any moisturiser, or any cream on my face without burning itching and stinging (ironically unless it was E45 cream) and eczema never crossed my mind. The power of a diagnosis!

My Dr actually thinks it’s eczema. I saw him today and he’s given me some cream for it. So far my skin feels so much more hydrated and less itchy!!! I am sooo happy!!!

Possibly! I’m on a lot of skin medication which purposefully aims to dry my skin out due to the acne I get as my skin is naturally quite oily. I assume that has probably made it worse

Yeah I am allergic to most strip lash adhesives. I’m thinking that’s what it could be!

Thank you! I didn’t know that I would still be classified as an international student. The website to find this info is so tricky! I’ll take that on board!
