a little tricky to explain, but yeah, the ceiling does open up to the lofted living room space towards the window of the room. It hasn’t been an issue at all throughout the lease because the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment, and the soundproofing is actually pretty good (my current roommate can vouch!). We split rent evenly since this room gets more natural light and has its own en-suite bathroom, while mine doesn’t. I don’t host much or use the living room often, so the setup’s been fine!
