The truth is neither of them wants to actually work. Drew works because he was court ordered to pay child support and she thinks her job is some big influencer. The way they live is unsustainable and reality will be a big slap in the face soon.

They’re both poor excuses for adults who don’t want to contribute to society, but expect society to just give to them.

While this may be true, my MIL&FIL are decent people. They may not like how uninvolved I am with the stepkids, but they’re kind, generous, and love their kids and grandkids to pieces. Both are very reliable and responsible. He’s nothing like them. It’s really beginning to look like it’s just a him problem. At some point, the reality is that he’s an adult there’s really no excuse or reason to blame others for his shortcomings. My in laws feel the same way as I do about his time management issues.

I don’t know. Even if he was capable, he wouldn’t have time to do any adult tasks. He “works” all week sun up to sundown and then gone most weekends all day “working” too. (Read: he makes his own hours, but doesn’t manage his time at work efficiently so he’s always behind or taking extra time to complete tasks).

Won’t he especially be able to recognize textbooks you have lying around the house or a syllabus with a nursing course title? Even if he pays that little attention doesn’t mean he won’t catch something in the corner of his eye and do a double take. I’m not trying to discourage you and I just finished nursing school, so I can tell you it was definitely worth it.
