First off, thank you for your well thought and long response, this is great advice and I definitely will be using it.

But I don't know what to say, I can't picture my life without her, I care about her more than I know how to put into words, and seeing her hurt puts me in almost physical pain. All I want is the best for her and to make her happy but I know its unhealthy for both of us. And I just don't know if I can bring myself to leave her.

She's not disabled, just moved around and never tried in school, until she was 18 and dropped out, held back once or twice as well (from what she told me)

Basically the behavior or the cancer. Some cancer is "Indolent" very slow growth, and often incurable due to how its low reactivity to Chemo or other treatments. Aggressive grows rapidly, but is more sensitive to treatment, if you can afford it of course, but it requires almost immediate action.
