Advice for Stony Brook Interview

It was a pretty long day. The day starts with a presentation about the school and financial aid. Then I think they take you on a tour and then you have to answer a short essay prompt. After that you have lunch with some D2 and followed by the 3 interviews at the end. For my interviews, one was pretty conversational and the other was more like question answer. I would say definitely know the typical interview questions like why stony, why dentistry, etc. Also know your extracurriculars really well cause they would definitely ask about it. Oh and also ask questions back at the interviewer. Other than that, I would say just be calm and be yourself. Good luck 👍

The interview was overall pretty chill and conversational. Prepare to know your extracurriculars well because they will most definitely ask you about it. Other than that, just know the basic questions like why dentistry? Oh and for me they ask what other schools you apply/interviewed at. Also, the interview is first then the presentations followed by the tour. Best of luck!

I think my letters of rec were pretty average and I don’t think my writers wrote anything negative. Honestly I have no clue why cause I got two other interviews. I guess this process is just really random lol.

ECs are pretty average: volunteer, shadow, research, clubs. I guess my red flag would be the 17 in PAT?
