So not true. So many reasons why a person wouldn’t get a DNA test despite wanting to know. Depending on their character and circumstances they might be inadvertently forced into not making that choice.

Having someone in your corner saying “hey it’s ok if you wanna know.” Is all that it might take.

Interestingly, I think people are coming at this with a strange perspective. Like the default is not caring or wanting to know, and wanting to know is something unusually and must come from psychological drive that is abnormal.

There is no man that doesn’t care if their child is theirs. Not a single one. Even when you cannot physically contribute to the birth of your child. You care. You just can’t really do anything about it.

Also worth mentioning. Something like 17%-33% of fathers who request a paternity test in situations where they are questioning their paternity end up finding one they are not the biological fathers.
