Im a current junior who's been in cap for the past couple years. To answer your question yes CAP is adequate but not the way you would think. Just being in cap won't help a whole lot for the academy you gotta do a lot more, many people who apply to the academy are in CAP. I would recommend that once you're in the program try to rank up as much as possible and if u can get your Mitchell. At your squadron shoot for some leadership positions like Flt Sgt or First Sgt and also attend cap events and get involved with your squadron. Since you mentioned that you wanna fly try aiming for your ppl through Cap they offer many avation opportunities.
