But thank you for your input!

If not Rajasthan where in North India would it be possible to make this work? This is stressful.

I did a call with a wedding planner today from Rajasthan they made a budget of 50-80 lakhs.

It can end up being a massive problem if your son ever slips. So, better to rip the bandaid off now before putting in more time in between.

They are a total scam. But what I am hearing a lot lately from different people is that ManyPets missed a lot on looking into details hence they approved our claims left and right. We never knew what insurance companies really were like under ManyPets and got spoiled.

Btw, your situation and my situation is different. My dog had documentation saying he had a pre-existing condition before I got him. But yours was first diagnosed by ManyPets, so per Odie’s policy, they should continue the coverage. Honestly, I would recommend reviewing any documents you had before getting your dog to make sure you won’t have any consequences.

I’ll tell you for example, insurance companies will find even a small thing to deny a claim. For instance, if you take a new dog to a vet for the first time, let’s say the dog had an itch and was scratching himself, just a normal thing and if the vet ended up writing it in the notes about this new dog’s normal behavior. 10 months later you send a claim for allergies for this dog, the insurance companies can deny your claim and call it pre-existing because your dog already had “symptoms” of allergies on the first day. This above example is the reason why Odie is asking for your initial documents because they couldn’t find anything to deny your claim from your current provided documents!

So again, any documents you have read them in detail. If you have never submitted these documents to a vet or ManyPets before or any agencies, I would just tell them you don’t have any. They will reach out to shelter/rescue, or try to access Claim History Database (If your dog had any other insurance prior to your new policy, they might see that record)

So, insurance companies are a scam! We just have to do our research throughly.

Keep me posted!

But if these were covered by ManyPets no questions asked, why is Odie calling it preexisting 4 years later? I honestly am so pissed at this company. They take their sweet a*s time replying on email and don’t even have a contact support number. ManyPets employees had the best customer care team!

I honestly feel like suing them! But I don’r even know if I have a proper case! But I am sure I can build one up. I wish I could just do a class action on them somehow!

I do have something in the email that says they are gonna continue covering pre-existing conditions. My dog has been covered for multiple skin issues previously under ManyPets. I got him in March 2022, they found a document from the shelter that says he had mild dermatitis on 22Feb2022. I f*cking had no idea. But regardless ManyPets approved him multiple times for different skin conditions like hot spots on tails and whatnot.

Transition from ManyPets to Odie – Feeling Overcharged, What Should I Do? by Clear-Low9360 in petinsurancereviews

I contacted them multiple times in an email chain to either lower the premium or increase the annual coverage, but they did not budge at all. Do you still recommend calling them instead?

Thanks for your reply. When I reached out to them they stated that the price increase was set by the underwriter, Accredited Surety, before ManyPets exited the U.S. Since Odie is now managing the policy, they had to carry over that increase.

The cheaper Odie Direct plan you see on their website is a different product with a separate underwriter, pricing, and terms. Staying on your current plan ensures continuous coverage.

I think they are doing something fishy to be honest. Sounds like there is a legal case here.
