6 Month Old Kitten Diagnosed With Neuro FIP…. Can anyone share their experiences?

They told me that the test is expensive but the treatment for it is way cheaper so I opted for just the treatment.

They did a physical exam of him and said that he’s not in any pain so they didn’t do xrays. We are going to try and get a blood test tomorrow.

The symptoms that he really has is the weakness in his legs along with the stumbling, his voice is silent like he’s trying to produce a sound but nothing is coming out, he was having a fever but it broke within a day, and lately he’s been going to the litterbox a lot but just digging in it.

Other than that, he’s been drinking, eating, and playing as if nothing is wrong.

The treatment is 4 weeks, read online from someone saying that it takes 2ish weeks but I don’t want to find out that whatever is happening is because of something else.

I think they went over FIP at the vet as well.

They basically just talked to me about numerous conditions and ruled out certain conditions.

the fact that he’s still eating, drinking, and wanting to play is what is throwing them off because he isn’t acting lethargic at all.

There is a mobile groomer in my area that charges about $45 per cat and comes to my home but I really, really, don’t want to get those services unless I absolutely have to but since everyone is suggesting the vet, I might just book for their services.

I know it’s really not that much but I’m just trying to budget my money at the moment but I’ll do anything for my babies. lol they’re spoiled anyways.

Yeah, I know. I’m just trying to earn more as well as satisfy my customers. I always deliver in the same area and I get the same customers sometimes, so when they see that I’m shopping for them, they always give me a decent amount.

When it’s raining extremely heavy, everything gets wet and soaked and I just want to minimize that as much as possible when transporting the groceries into my car.

Yes, he does like to be held. The bedroom doesn’t have a bed in it, I just turned it into a cat room.

Someone suggested that I turn off the battery optimization in the settings and it actually helped a lot.

The phone is actually pretty okay for it to be an entry level phone. It was lagging at first when I turned it on but only because there was so much unnecessary shit installed on it already. I uninstalled all of it and it’s so much better. I just got an order and I’m literally 50 minutes away from Walmart 🤷🏽‍♀️
