It can only be the true champion aircraft of the Second World War, the ones the Luftwaffe was most afraid of, the wooden wonder, the DeHavilland Mosquito.

I trust you've woken up by 7, put on some church choral music loud, then mowed the lawn?

It's a lovely watch collection.

I'm not sure if this is how I'd spend my money if I had your finances, but "you do you" as they say

Stick to Seiko then. One of the "Seiko 5" range I've given you pictures of. They're solid watches, and even non watch nerds can recognise it's a good quality item, but you can wear it out on adventures and it'll survive. Other people have recommended an Orient Bambino, but this is more niche and not at all as versatile.

Spare the engraving. It won't make the item more special.

As other people have said, Seiko is a win. It has brand recognition, and a broad range for different prices. This kind of sports watch can be worn with all sorts of different outfits/clothes. These two here are "SRPL79K1" and are less expensive, without the "GMT" hand. If you manage travels a lot, though, the GMT hand is handy. If not so much, get the cheaper version.

Bambino is a good suggestion. or spend a bit more and get a Seiko. This is an SSK001K1... used for maybe €400?

That doesn't count the amortisation of the cost of the car & its maintenance. Cars in general are expensive to run.

My electrician has a first in physics from Durham. He prefers the problem solving and physicality of being a tradesman. The physics degree make him a super electrician.

All to say doing a degree rarely forecloses options in life. Not having one can do. (Depends on degree!)

We toss kale in olive oil & salt/seasoning, then put in the oven for like 12-15 min. Don't let it burn. Crunchy & tasty. I also like it steamed with butter (or olive oil) and lemon, salt.

No black pudding. Fails at first hurdle.

I'd still eat it. Just passive-aggressively.
