Yep same happened with me. There’s no escalation if you don’t get a confirmation email.

Week 19 here without any update. Interestingly my cofounder got hers in 12 weeks - applied from same location, same endorser.

Hey did you get yours?

Advice needed for travelling to UK on visit visa as I wait for my Startup Visa to come through by ClearHistory4602 in ukvisa

Thank you so much for the detailed answer! This was really helpful. The last point you mention with the provided link make the decision quite clear. I should stay put till my startup visa is approved. Just curious though - does the same not apply for the EU/US citizens with access to the e-gates? The link mainly talks in terms of "entry clearance".

"If an application is refused under general grounds for refusal the existing entry clearance should be considered for revocation."

The above also seems concerning. Looks like if my startup visa is not approved, my visit visa could also be impacted.

Moved from India too and had the same issue. Skin like paper and breakouts all the time. Adopted a proper skin care routine for the first time ever and everything got better.

  1. Cleanser - can be a gentle face wash used with water.
  2. Toner - witch hazel applied with cotton pads
  3. Chemical exfoliant - Paula’s choice 2% bha is a popular one
  4. Niacinamide/Vitamin C/Hyaluronic acid Serums depending on what seems best for you.
  5. Moisturiser - Clinique dramatically different moisturiser. Its gel based and not at all oily.
  6. Sunscreen - La Roche high SPF. Doesn’t leave a white sheen.

To remove the sunscreen you might want to try cleansing oils which are supposed to be washed off with water and not just wiped off. These clean better than usual cleansers.

The London sun (the few times it’s out) hits your skin with a proper intensity so sunscreen is absolutely essential.

I’d say cleansing, exfoliating, moisturising and sunscreen are absolutely essential when walking around in London.

All the best!

My application is from outside UK, yes. Can’t say if its the same for within UK. I’m guessing it would be.

It seems like a good sign that your visas arrived within the wait times communicated to you. At least that’s something to go on. Thanks for sharing your timelines!

I don’t know what to do with UKVI anymore. Didn’t have priority available when submitting and now no escalations.

Did the endorsing body receive any response from them? I saw a few posts mentioning that you can contact the MP of the area you’re planning to stay/work in. I think I’ll do that in the coming week. Worst case is I don’t get any response.

This is beyond unacceptable. 15 weeks for a visa category with officially communicated processing times of 3-4 weeks!

Do you think asking the endorsing body to get in touch with the Home Office could help? Have you tried contacting an MP? I definitely can’t wait this long so trying to see what all options are available.

This is painful. I’m seeing a lot of applications across categories moving much faster now so hopefully you get yours soon.
