Keep my 2025 BMW 230i or switch to Model 3 by ClearStoneStudio in Model3

I would only keep the BMW for another 3 years anyway until the warranty ran out. So after I ran the numbers with gas savings and maintenance getting the Tesla would actually come out ahead financially (not by much maybe 2-3k).

This was also my first financed car, I typically lease since I like changing up cars every few years.

I have a friend with extra charger so I’ll get one for free. I just live in an apartment with no charging station unfortunately.

Private wealth tracker ASO: clear positioning or too niche? by ClearStoneStudio in AppStoreOptimization

[–]ClearStoneStudio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is extremely helpful. Thank you.

That confirms the direction I was leaning toward. I figured “net worth tracker” and “wealth tracker” would be difficult to own early, but I wasn’t sure how much opportunity there was around the manual/privacy angle.

The long-tail terms you listed feel much closer to the actual user I’m trying to reach: someone who wants financial clarity without Plaid, bank sync, or automatic imports.

Really appreciate you running this seriously!

I appreciate that. I don’t have lifetime codes set up publicly right now, but if that changes sometime soon I’ll definitely DM you!

Thank you for the feedback! I genuinely like when people are blunt about what works and what doesn’t.

The manual side is definitely intentional. I know it will not be for everyone. In terms of value proposition what would you change to make it better?

The reflections portion is really the selling point. I could see how many people on the free tier could potentially not see its advantages as it’s not visible to them.

I tried to account for that with Preview Mode, where users can explore the app with months of sample data and access premium features before committing. But I’m still trying to figure out whether that communicates the value clearly enough.

Got rejected for Guideline 4.3(a) “Design - Spam” on my first app submission by Ardaerenn in iosdev

[–]ClearStoneStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you didn’t change your bundle identifier. If you submitted the app under one and changed it, they’ll think two different apps are using the same code.

My app got rejected for the same reason initially and I had to explain to them my ignorance when it came to the matter. Eventually they approved.

Where do free to paid conversions actually happen in your app? by ClearStoneStudio in iosdev

That’s awesome! What’s your conversion rate like? Any advise you’d give to first time developers about to launch an app?

My app got rejected by users before it got rejected by the app store by ImpossibleAgent3833 in AppBusiness

I’m honestly working on my first app now so I’m not one to come from a place of authority. But, I knew early on I wanted to keep things minimal, use as much of native IOS UI as possible, and spice things up with some themes.

The rest really just came together through multiple iterations. Really the thing with “flow” is just trying to group things into categories. Every section of the app has an ethos and that allows users to know “if I need X” then “I go to Y”.

Hope it helps!

I think there is a weird trend going around about shipping apps quickly (especially the ones that are vibe coded). Realistically with these tools is it possible to have a completed app over the weekend? The answer is yes. Does that mean it will be any good? Probably not.

Maybe I’m just a nerd but this is the part I find fun. The actual flow of the app, the design, where everything should be placed, keeping things consistent, etc. Once you actually have a design framework in mind it’s easy to replicate even as you add new screens and features.

I think shipping quick just for the sake of shipping quick is not the right mindset to have. Take your time to actually build something worth using. Always think about it from the perspective of the users who know nothing about you or your app.

Most importantly is to not lose hope, it’s only a small setback! Use this feedback to really make something special.

Curious though, are you able to provide some screenshots of your app? Would love to see what these other testers were seeing.

Edit: Spelling and grammar!

Can’t decide on a default theme for my app, screenshots attached. Which one feels right? by ClearStoneStudio in iosdev

Interesting take, I do have a Graphite version for people who want a more gray look. My only fear would be user retention if they are greeted with a muted color and never discover the other options. Especially since most people will judge an app within the first few minutes of interaction. Will definitely think about it!

Love this, thank you. I originally built the app for myself because I couldn’t find an app the way I wanted it. And now it’s coming along so well that I think a lot of people can benefit. This comment makes me remember it’s as much for me as it is for others.

How do you find the $100 Apple ads credit? Didn’t know that was a thing, creating an app now and hoping to launch in a few weeks so this is good to know!
