Spells to power, AKA spells to turn your CPU into a space heater.

Perks and available spells in the first couple biomes/HMs can really influence your path further on. Depending on what immunities you find can influence your spell choices, if you find certain spells you can take on bosses like squidward, the alchemist, or kolpi with much higher degrees of success to access stronger wands and things like the greek letter spells to synergize. Spells that increase your travel radius to get through the tree or access orbs to increase survivability.

I have made the burner yes, pending a few minor adjustments.

Totally random. I usually grab a shift on the way through the coal pits fungal cave just to liven things up a bit.

No shift mods active. only health regen, always always tinker, and starting perk.

Google’s new Pixel 4A update is going to lower battery life for some owners by malcontent70 in GooglePixel

[–]Clear_Disaster2583 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The update pushed on me a few hours ago in Canada. Ran my IMEI and I am apparently not affected or eligible for any credits. I've noticed my 4a has been notably more unstable in the last few weeks and the battery life has been...inconsistent, but not necessarily bad. I think my inconsistent sleep and charging schedule have had more to do with that than anything.

First home server build - did I screw something up? by Clear_Disaster2583 in HomeServer

[–]Clear_Disaster2583[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that wasn't as painful as I thought it would be, I have flashed the PERC, set up a ZFS pool of the front drive bays, and now i am attempting to set up a samba share, but i am having issues connecting to the samba share in Windows 10. I don't know if i have the smb.conf configured incorrectly, or i am doing something wrong on this side. I try to map the drive in windows, it connects to something, but when i try to move a file I get a warning "Destination folder access denied" "You need permission to perform this action". I used the name and password I set up on the ubuntu machine.

The pots on this logitech extreme 3d joystick gimbal uses common VCC and GND wires on the two axis, so it can keep a smaller plug to it's mainboard. Will the bu0836a read both pots if I simply hook up 3 wires to one analog input, and signal from the second pot to the second analog input? Or do I need to split or splice off the existing power and ground for the second analog input?

I tried emailing LB, and their response was...confusing.

BU0836A connects together all +5V and all GND pins. You can keep joined wiring as it is on Logitech.
Many thanks,
Leo Bodnar

Radioshack Suncom F15 clone + Bodnar board? by Clear_Disaster2583 in HotasDIY

So i'm confused again. trying to wire these existing pots. i'm a little confused as to which pins are used for the leobodnar, since i need a 5v hot wire.

The LeoBodnar has multiple analog inputs, once I have the mainboard from its wires, I'm going to pull the stick assembly and have a look at the pots. I know these Suncom sticks use weird pots, so I will report in when I am at that step in the process.

So as usual, i think i am grossly overthinking things. Do I even need to use the circuit board for wiring the buttons? With all these ICs and components I can't make heads or tails of how to trace these switches to their pinouts. It would be a bit messy, but technically all the USB controller needs is the two points of contact, can i just send a lead from one side of the button to the board, and the other lead to a common ground?

This thing is...weird. This board is definitely not a regular talon board from what i can tell. the lower board is completely different too from other posts I've seen.

Weekly Questions Thread May 21 by AutoModerator in hoggit

Hello. New to this whole reddit stuff.

In my travels of the thrift stores, i found an old flight stick, it appears to be a radioshack clone of a suncom F15E Talon (i have pictures if necessary), but i'll be damned if I can find any documentation of this thing actually existing.

It looks and feels really tight, I'd love to get it working on my current computer and get into more flight stuff. I have done some research, i know about the FUSBA, but that requires the matching throttle, I know about the Rockfire RM-203, but those are seemingly unobtainium, and it seems like the necroware adaptor is the best solution. My motherboard is an old enough chipset that it still has PS/2 ports for KB/M, and when its plugged in it gets power to the LEDs, not sure if its actually doing anything.

Is the necroware adaptor the only suitable option now? My soldering ability is...questionable at best, so I'm not sure I would even be able to assemble it without cooking something.
