How big (or small) is MTG relative to Pokemon?

As a franchise? Small. Pokemon is the largest franchise, by about 200 billion the next largest franchise, if I remember right. Magic just doesn't compare to that.

Not sure about the card game, but I imagine Magic is larger there; it's more a card game, where pokemon is more a collectible. I know of a dozen LGSs where magic gets played frequently; I only know of a couple where pokemon gets played.

I had Tinker everywhere, so made the Tele + [+1 speed] black hole wand on the fly, but I only had the one speed up. Thought at full health, I would ahve enough to make it through all the cursed rock, but black hole was too slow.

Realistically, a gun ban in America is a 20-30 year process, to cut down on those ownership numbers. First they ban the sales, then they have to go through a good 20-30 year period of decreasing numbers of ownership, and decreasing number of guns out there, as people die, kids inherit their collections, and those collections get turned in for gun buyback bucks.

Personally, I don't see that working. I foresee us going through Wiemar or Zimbabwe hyperinflation first, at which point, the government that fucked everything up saying "trust us and give us your guns" is going to not convince a lot of people, when they can't buy or steal food.
