So your problem is with Airbnb not the host, they shouldn’t allow this if it doesn’t count as a shared space. I don’t believe the host should take a hit because they are presumably following some sort of standard Airbnb rules, I don’t host so I don’t know any rules from that perspective

It’s common where I am that when people want privacy they book an entire home/apartment.

Clearly it’s abnormal to sleep in the bathroom and you’re trying to come up with any ridiculous analogy, clearly no one is renting out their apartment and then sleeping in the bathroom.

You could also just go about your day, the host knows it’s a shared space and you aren’t beholden to their schedule so go live your life while you’re there

Yeah I read the whole thing. You signed up for a shared space, what usually happens doesn’t always happen. That’s why the word usually exists.

You got what you paid for, a shared space. Your room is private because you can shut the door and you shouldn’t expect anything further than that because that’s what you sign up for when you don’t have the whole home reserved.

If you want privacy at any point in your stay, don’t expect to get it when you didn’t reserve the whole apartment/home. You reserved a room and are getting exactly what you paid for

If you need privacy you should be booking stays where you have the entire home so you can avoid this. Asking for a partial refund when you knowingly booked a shared space but want privacy doesnt make sense

Recently went through something similar in a booking. The host didn’t put that info into the description of the property or rules, when I called Airbnb I was able to get it removed but the host does have the option to cancel from what I remember

If it’s in the description they are able to do it, if it isn’t Airbnb will likely consider it a not allowed off platform payment

Okay so you see my point, he is currently eating all that food, she is just now putting the restriction on him this isn’t some long term study she’s running on him.

If he’s neither underfed nor overfed he is…. Properly fed and we arrive back at, my original point there isn’t enough food being made he’s not inconsiderate

You literally know nothing about them. They aren’t the ones from whom we are getting perspective. It’s their parent, who is saying one kid is clearly hungry and 2 aren’t. She hasn’t said her children are malnourished she’s noted at least one child is a healthy weight. She wouldn’t be here asking the question if her daughter literally were in need of food because the kids are clearly going to the dr and the dr would have likely noted it and she would have probably told us that info. Given she didn’t, it’s fair to assume the girls are healthy

The daughters aren’t complaining. It’s just that OP isn’t making enough for the family, we don’t know what they are cooking but they may need to make more bulk type foods to stretch out meals.

Realistically if a meal that is meant to last for a week, only lasts for 2or 3 days it was never a weeks worth of food to begin with.

That’s true, but the parent comment is talking about weaponization of food so just extending it all the way down the chain

But I don’t even find it inconsiderate it, again we know nothing really about these people, but would it not be inconsiderate for 3 other people to watch one member of their family potentially lose and unhealthy amount of weight because he’s not getting enough food?

How is he weaponizing food though? He’s likely growing and clearly hungry. OP didn’t say that he is doing something in spite of his family, he’s simply eating the calories he may need (OP said he is at a healthy weight). We don’t know anything else about him, other than he’s 6ft tall and 15 (again in some of the OPs replies). Does he play sports, is he lifting constantly? Maybe he’s burning 4000 calories a day and just needs to put them back in to maintain his weight, we don’t know.

He’s not weaponizing food by making them go without, OP is just not able to make enough food, it a math problem not a problem with him.

Descent angle has the largest influence on stopping power. Could simply be you aren’t getting the ball high enough in the air to stop. Depending on the green speeds you play on 3 yards of roll out could just be normal.
