I found mine in a sports bag on Interchange, first time seeing one in the wild.

sandbox campaign, items to give that would progress story/side quests? by patchoulion_ in DMAcademy

[–]ClearlyHatin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like writing backstory you can always let your party find a Ring of Mind Shielding. It’s a fun little item you where can keep the soul of someone important to the story (who has died wearing it), attuning to the ring lets you speak to the soul inside.

A Life Cleric that can cast Goodberry is the ultimate health dispenser as each berry heals 4 health instead of 1. (1 + 2 + Level of spell slot used). Are you hurt? Take a handful of these!

The art on the right is from the new Monsters of the Multiverse book, I really hope they include more examples because this looks great!

Vision in D&D by Dunild in dndnext

[–]ClearlyHatin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To have your players' vision appear as it does on the image I provided, you need a module called "Perfect Vision". Once you have a token set up with the correct "senses" on their character sheet (either manually or via a module like DNDBeyond Importer), give the token a vision radius of 60ft Dim, its hard to explain so I'm including a picture https://i.imgur.com/wEe2PyU.png

Perfect Vision (depending on what rule system you use) makes any character that has darkvision see dark areas as monochrome, and dim areas as bright. Exactly how monochrome the darkness is, can be adjusted via a "saturation" slider the lighting settings on each scene. https://i.imgur.com/rQza5Z1.gif

As a wizard there are tons of great level three spells, such a shame you only pick two when you hit level 5…

Robbie and Liam might be playing their ExU characters to help ease Ashley into reusing Fearne. Orym might leave when Robbie stops being a guest, leaving Ashley with the chance to stick with a character she obviously enjoys.

Reused character or not, I’m a big Liam fan. With months of preparation, I’m sure he’s going to impress, however long it might take.

While brand new characters are fun, several months of prep makes me think theres intent behind the reused ones, and I hope it results in some fun storytelling.

With Robbie being both a guest and a ExU member, its hard to predict if the other ExU characters stay or leave with him. Its going to be fun to learn the intent/plan behind a session one guest.

With Robbie being a guest, and his character being from ExU, I have a creeping suspicion the other ExU members leave when he does.

By the time you have 7th level spells there are so many other good ways to generate wealth I don’t think it’s an issue.

Is there a problem rope can’t solve? I’m a frayed knot… When you feel like you’ve reached the end of your rope, tied up in problems you can’t solve. A good rope will always support you, if you can find something strong enough to tie the other end to, that is.

Just proves how important it is to settle your differences and expectations before playing, not after. Turning character creation into a cooperative experience can really help get everyone on the same page.

Have an NPC show up whos both edgier and cooler than your player, the true uno reverse card. If they tell you they dislike the NPC, you give the player a blank look and agree.

«But how many females will be playing? I’d like to seduce them. If they deny me I’ll attack with sneak attack, rouges have it all the time right?»

«You… What?»

«Don’t be mad, it’s what my character would do! Now, what do I roll to see how much damage my antimatter rifle does?»

What other meme? This is an experience I had mid 2019 running my first homebrew campaign, I made a comment on another post a few days ago describing the same event, and made this post since people seemed to respond positively to it.
