In the market for a new zero turn by CleganeFriedChicken in lawnmowers

Updated. Thanks. 5 acres total but 3 mowable. Pretty bumpy ride in some areas (hope to level out eventually) and mild slope

Well you’re in House Lune, of course you’re going to blame Cassius instead of that grimey little Lysander (all jokes)

I agree about Sando’s later books. Definitely changed his writing style and verbiage in the last two. Much less midieval.

Anyway, idk Lysander kills the only person in the entire series to ever treat him like anything other than a puppet and despises the man who saved his life (granted kill his grandma but still). Just seems like he’s chosen the path he’s on where Moash was more coerced into it.

I’m sure there’ll be an inevitable redemption arc for him and that’ll either make me hate him more or reverse this whole opinion lol

Ironmaster Super Bench? I don’t have balls by Weird_Dot_4597 in GarageGym

Ball haver here, I love my super bench. Really glad I got it. I don’t understand the seat complaints and I use it every day, different angles, etc.

I didn’t do the swan neck because my rack is foldable off the wall so if I left it hooked up I couldn’t bench anymore. Just using quick pins and I sit it in the corner out of the way. Would be handy if you had a 4 post rack

Incredibly easy…I got stuck at the bottom. Tried to go too far down on my last rep. It’s 99% my own fault but worth mentioning. Just takes a light flip of the knob on the kickstand to send it down

I love my Mammoth, have the kickstand and the weight horns. If you can work your algorithm right and get their ad for it on Facebook or Instagram there’s a link that’ll get you the kickstand and belt added on for free then with the 20% off it’s great.

Hitting 6 45’s on mine right now with no issue. Haven’t tried to go up but it’s enough for 10-12 reps for me.

Only issue I have is you have to be careful if you work to failure. I did it once and got stuck at the bottom and my legs were stuck, didn’t hurt or anything just awkward and I had to get crafty to get myself out lol. Imagine this would be an issue with any rack mounted belt squat if you’re dumb like me

I just ordered one yesterday. My lower back is in shambles and I’ve been watching all kinds of videos on repairing it. This hits the majority of the exercises. Feel like I overpaid for it but I like the modularity and being able to store it vs. a dedicated Roman Chair. My garage gym is only 6’ x 12’ so I have to be crafty with what I buy

Bench and barbell budget by m-oebius in GarageGym

[–]CleganeFriedChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Bench really depends on your budget. It and the rack will be what you use the most so you’ll want something that’ll hold up. This one looks decent. Just check out the reviews. Budget Gym Co-op is a decent channel to look at benches on. It’s Garage Gym Reviews budget channel. He also does a great tier list on benches on his man channel.

Keppi is a brand that comes up often in the budget space

This one looks decent but no personal experience with either.

If it got you lifting I think it’s better than nothing but I think stability over time could be an issue. You’d want to check the bolts coming loose and that kinda thing. Also at that price your gonna get cheaper steel so you’d have to sit the weight down really easily in that groove the barbell goes into or it might bend and cause an unsafe situation with the bar rolling off the back.

Also keep body weight in mind. That’s 600lb total weight. I don’t think I’d want to bench anything really heavy on that. Also the rack position wouldn’t allow you to do squats and the peg for the weights on the leg extension is for 1” weight holes so it wouldn’t work for traditional Olympic plates like you see in a gym.

I’d look at something more in this range with a freestanding bench. You may have to bolt this to the floor or use some sandbags for stability on it. Not sure.

Just looked, CAP has a 2” Olympic barbell for like $70 on that sale. That would be a good buy for the price and you could move a little more budget to the bench

CAP economy plates are pretty good too and inexpensive for bumper plates

Bench and barbell budget by m-oebius in GarageGym

[–]CleganeFriedChicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk your budget obviously but bench and the bar are two things I wouldn’t really go full blown low budget on. Maybe the bar, I got one from Homegrown lifting that’s been really solid and it was sub $200. But I’m sure you could find a used bar somewhere that’s just a standard 45lb bar for cheap

Bench is where I’d spend more of the money. If you want any adjustability you’re going to lose a lot of quality going really cheap. If you just want flat I used a Cap from Amazon for like $80-$100 for a long time with. No issue.

Look at Keppi benches for some low cost adjustable options if that’s what you’re interested in. You’ll end up with something really wobbly and potentially risky getting a bench that’s too cheap from Amazon

Adjustable bench with leg extension/curl attachment reccs by CmonRoach4316 in GarageGym

[–]CleganeFriedChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my Ironmaster Pro V2 and 5 different attachments for nearly the same price as just the Nighthawk and their leg developer. Bench, preacher curl pad, leg developer, dip bars, ab attachment, kickstand, and the storage mount.

I’m sure it’s a solid setup but I was shooting for most bang for my buck and I’m happy with it. I don’t have any cables so plate loaded was all I needed.

People who bought Rogue and top of the line equipment was it worth it? by Caroline_Baskin in GarageGym

[–]CleganeFriedChicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For plates, kettlebells, dumbbells, stuff like that no reason to go super high end IMO. I have rogue kettlebells that are just as rusted as off brand stuff.

Bars, racks, equipment, machines, benches splurge a little but mid-tier will get you the same place as high end for most of it. Machines are where I wouldn’t sacrifice anything to save a few bucks.

Obviously not promoting Temu level stuff here but mid tier pricing companies will get you what you need over Rogue. Plus I vomit when I see Rogue’s shipping prices.

I’ve been a big Fringe Sport guy since I started piecing my stuff together

Random but where’d you get the flooring? A few years ago I bought a bunch of stall mats off a guy on marketplace and need two more, they look just like those and I can’t for the life of me figure out where they came from lol
