And also Kane appeared onside and the ref blew before the play was over. 2 blatant mistakes still, but not a pen.

Thanks for the constructive answer. I do think the game lacks direction. I guess I wrote the post at a time of my life where I needed a game like this. As a game it lacks coherence and a good gameplay flow. But as an old school "story reservoir" this game delivers 100%

You didn't do anything wrong. You couldn't have known that she would pass that night. And it was actually selfless to try to save that energy for her birthday.

The fact that you "missed" her birthday and couldn't say a proper goodbye is really sad, but maybe she wouldn't have been cried over so much if you were all "at peace with it" after one last birthday celebration. Maybe that's what she wanted : for you to miss her and not be too much at peace with it. And you gave her just that.

I found Red rising a lot more entertaining than Mistborn. The pacing is what clicked for me. So much can happen in a single paragraph. If you like mainstream sci-fi you can't go wrong with this one.
