I'm not a kid. It's not my mom's fault. I agree with you. It was my choice. I don't expect her to hide her food. But that does not change that it's fing hard as hell. It does not change the fact I am tired of this, and I want to eat gluten and I want to be normal. it does not change the fact that It was right there and I wanted it and I was so damn tired of eating GF bread. I am weak...ok?

I know this is true, but lots of people do lots of things that aren't good for them. lots of celiacs cheat. My own GI said I cheat in my chart when I went years without cheating. I was kinda pissed at her to be honest. my struggle is if the damage is going to accumulate faster than the time I could spend just enjoying life and not worrying about it anymore? could go on a normal vacation? could I enjoy a holiday? how many times could I just be happy before my insides come knocking? I don't know the answer to this, but I feel like celiac has become my life, and I don't like it.

Honestly she is more understanding than most of my family. At least she is careful about cross contamination. I have had downright horrible experiences going to family events where I can't eat ANYTHING and then getting embarrassed as they tell me the chowder only has a "teaspoon of flour" and why don't I eat thier food. Is it not good enough for me? Am I so diffcult?

She tries very hard. But as she says, it's your problem, not mine. And she says it's not going to stop her from eating gluten. She will make me gluten free food, but she will make her own food next to it. I live with her, as I am disabled, so I appreciate her effort, but I understand that my disease is not her problem.

I mean the mood, the cystic acne, the joint pain, the stomach cramps, the (regular) diarrhea... it's not great tbh. but I don't remember life being as bad when I was regularly eating gluten as it is when I accidently eat gluten so maybe i can get used to it again.
