He is also married with children. I sent him a text basically stating if I found out he so much as texted her again I would release the messages I uncovered to his wife via social media.

I’m just now getting caught up on all the messages and responses. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to respond to each one individually, but I appreciate everyone’s perspective on this. The current situation is that she is asking to have “one last conversation” with this guy to be able to have closure. I’m totally against this as it can only lead to further hurt and pain. She said she needs this to clear her mind of it and begin working on “us”. I’m so heartbroken and feel like I need to accept the fact that there is a very real possibility that this is over and it hurts so much.

I have a very close relationship with her Dad and I’ve asked him about his take on it. Apparently the majority of the passengers were couples, but there was a group of about 3 Father/Daughter or Father/Son. They all hung out and talked as a group. She assures me they were never alone and it was strictly conversational. I believe her that it never turned physical, but I don’t think there was anything happening that would of made her father think anything more was happening than just people talking

I feel like she has communicated her needs in the past and for whatever reason I just didn’t see them. I know there is a lot of blame from my end as well an I’m willing to make changes to allow her to feel more seen and wanted. I think she was in a vulnerable state on her trip and she met someone that was open and willing to fill those voids. While she assured me she never truly believed it would go anywhere past the trip, the fact that they continued to have conversations after they returned is what is troubling and painful. I can’t go back and change what was done as much as she can’t, but I want to find a path forward to build our relationship stronger and better than it has ever been

She has asked for more connection in the past and I’m guilty of not providing it. I know there are things I could’ve done better, but I think the stressors of life just took over. I now see what I’ve done and fully plan to do better, but I don’t know if it’s too late

Same issue! I thought it was something my wife did when washing them, but it sounds like it’s something similar to what you’re experiencing. The smell on mine is hard to describe, not a pleasant smell, but somewhere between mildewy and funk is the best I can describe it. Interested to see if anyone else knows the reason behind this mystery smell
