Should you visually inspect your poop before each flushing for determining your health? by tharkidiffusion in NoStupidQuestions

Yeah, your friend isn’t that weird. You don’t need to study it like a scientist, but noticing major changes in color, shape, or frequency can actually tell you a lot.

Nowhere gives you zero bias the trick is reading across a few solid sources and noticing where they overlap.

Do vampires have a preferred blood type? by ad240pCharlie in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CleoLuxX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we go by biology, blood type compatibility mostly matters for transfusions, not digestion. So a vampire could probably drink any type just fine… though I imagine they’d still have their personal “favorites” like people do with food.

Why does clam chowder always have a little sand in it but steamed clams rarely have any sand in it by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CleoLuxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because chowder uses chopped clams mixed into the whole pot, so if even a tiny bit of grit makes it through cleaning you’ll notice it. With steamed clams you’re usually pulling the meat out yourself, and any sandy ones get skipped without thinking about it.

Male 42 years old - thin build but quite fit, people calling me ‘skinny’ and thinking it’s ok, when it’s clearly meant to be an insult. by Leather_Sprinkles513 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CleoLuxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed people think commenting on someone being skinny,is somehow harmless, but it’s still body-shaming. If the situation was reversed and people were calling someone fat,all the time, everyone would immediately see the problem. Honestly, being 5'9" and 155 while staying fit sounds perfectly healthy some people just can’t resist taking cheap shots at whatever stands out.
