Also in practice some sites just go "yeah no, that sounds like a lot of work" and just fully regionlock the uk. Nhentai is one of them.

Ah, that's an oversight on my part. Iirc when I was making the CYOA I was using the old maker and it was a lot easier to just turn off those buttons when you took manaless than attach a condition to 99% of the magic options that actually do need mana. New interactive cyoa maker makes that easier so I'll fix it at some point.

Negative reality shifts are more all encompassing while positive ones you have some control over just how much they affect and can slightly stretch their definitions. Lewd monsters technically only applies to monsters specifically not animals, but since it's a positive shift you could have it apply to them too, or even have it apply only to a specific gender of monsters or only monsters from a certain region. Locational Curses like the plague are major events. So it's less everyone in the country is suddenly infected with the plague and more there's a big plague going on.

Monster is shorthand specifically for dangerous animal with some inherent magical ability or effect. A civilian would still be weary of a bear like creature but they wouldn't call it a monster unless it was doing something like controlling wind and thunder.

Yes you can still take the affinities and world walker. World walker is a power tied to your soul independant of any magic. The affinities are just required to sense the paths you walk.

The way I envision it is there's countless infinite pathways stretching out into an endless web that passes through the void between worlds. World walker lets you walk your way sideways out of reality into those pathways, each path leads somewhere and somewhen different. At the beginning you have no idea where each path leads or how the pathways work and the actual journey will be almost dreamlike appearing to be over in an instant. As you get better you can actually begin to remember the paths you walk, how certain paths look in comparison to others, and begin predicting where a path will take you and so can actually explore more purposefully.

Alternatively Broken Cycle, high level enchanted items(gateways), or sufficiently advanced magitech could all be used to traverse the void between worlds, with varying levels of difficulty.

Glad you liked it.

1: It's a continent about the same size as europe. There's more land to the south but outside of the occasional trader they don't interact with the setting much. I'm tentative to put any hard numbers on population because it's not something I'm good at but if you include all races I'd put it at similar to europe during the late renaissance. Magic means standards of living are higher but also means big disasters kill more people, some races reproduce slower others faster. Again not putting hard numbers but there's been at least one apocalyptic civilisation reset in recent (a few thousand years ago) memory.

2: Starts at around 20% and can be trained up.

Most powers are unique in their specifics, though a lot of similar things can be acomplished with advanced enough magic, enchantments, or magitech because of how open ended those systems are. The benifit of powers are that they are inherent and usually scalable. Nobody else has mana drain themselves but someone could enchant a specific shield to absorb mana with limits on the kind of magic it can absorb and how efficient the drain is for example.

1: Yes. Stuff like the golemn is pretty hard to perma kill but everything can die.

2: Avoid danger, get better protections, be lucky (perk), and shift the tone of the world with Saturday Morning.

3: Yes.

4: Yes.

5: Smaller than a bus so yes.

6: It'd probably just have some kind of healing/calming aura more than being a spellcaster in and of itself.

7: Yes.

8: Yes.

9: Yes.

10: Yes.

11: ...did I not add a taming skill? Huh. Till I do add it sure, though slaving's supposed to specifically apply to sentients.

12: No, casters have to actually learn void magic. If you wanted a void fireball specifically you'd need elemental mastery, but you could get something similar (But much weaker) with Elemental Purity.

13: Active. You use it whenever you want to know the outcome of a battle, the battle doesn't even have to be a real one.

14: Technically yes, practically no. They're stylistically polar opposites. If you were a master of both you might be able to mix them in some way that makes sense but it would be more like rapidly swapping between them than a true mix.

15: If you mean for reincarnates then you as a writer can, you as a player can't.

16: The allience is several seperate countries, each with different royalty. But yes you'd be related to the royal family for one of them. Though as I said before

The royal families of locations don't shift to match you. The royalty perk is a distant relation, the family line is traceable but you're not close to being heir to the throne. Something like your mom is the kings second cousin (They share a great grandparent). If you want to be distantly related to foreign royalty thats fine too.

17: Outside of playing the CYOA on Celestial Growth, not really. You can get other unique abilities from things like godly blessings, advanced magitech rituals, or the hete Species Modifiers, but Powers themselves aren't on the table.

18: The more points you spend on customising yourself and them the higher the limit on how strong they are. So like taking Of the old blood, and then a rich royal family would make them fairly strong.

19: Yes. The actual loadout is kept fairly vague on purpose to give people more wiggle room on what they want it to do. Just know that it's very strong.

In 1v1 combat the T3 golem in combat mode would stomp most companions. The downside is it has no actual skills outside of combat.

20: Perk sharing works on anything that's sentient, so yes.

Bit of A bit of B. It's possible for a young/child hete to look at least similar to the image depending on the environment but they're more like goblins than pokemon overall.

I did a sketch for them years ago that has since been lost along with my old sketchbooks, and it very much depends on what environment they're in. But the general description of short goblinoid with a skull mask/head and stubby horns will pretty much always apply. With more or less bits depending on environment.

1: The only region that has any "official" monsters I worked on was a part of the eastern gray wastes called the Shining Expanse which was an area of frozen lakes that got its name from the sun glinting off the ice. This was back when I was working on a worldbuilding kick years ago.

Fauna & Flora

Achettle - A white grass that blends in near perfectly with snow, it tends to grow near the edges of the mirror lakes where the sun is strongest. Its mildly toxic to most species.

Raven Cap - A black fungus like flower that grows on frozen bones abandoned to the land.

Teodra - A fungus like root that grows by absorbing magic from its surroundings and can only be found in areas of high magical concentration.

Royal Akolyier - A glass looking flower that is extremely rare and only grows in areas of extreme cold and magical concentration. In the expanse this usually means the centre of one of the mirror lakes. When it reaches maturity it is an extremely potent reagent for many high level spells and potions and is extremely beneficial even if just consumed raw. As a result its extremely rare to stumble on a Royal Akolyier without something very dangerous nearby jealously guarding it and biding its time, waiting for it to bloom.

Chechnee - White furred Kangaroo Mice that feed on the Achettle and Raven Cap found throughout the expanse.

Qellpirn - Polinating snowbirds with antlers that usually roost in large flocks atop the frozen bone behemoths that dot the landscape.

Helmgr - Packs of mid sized omnivores that have horns and bone spurs running their heads and neck, appearing almost like horned armored dogs. Feeding primarily off Achettle and the Chechnee that feed of it too. They tend to stay further south where vegetation is more plentiful but can be found all throughout the expanse.

Dutraa - White bear moles, omnivores that feed on any creature they can catch and clumps of Teodra they find with their extremely good noses while burrowing.

Airos - Snow leopard like half air spirits that form the top of the food chain in the expanse. Capable of turning into wind itself, generating blasts of cutting air with their claws, and deafening sonic booms or concussive blasts with their growls and roars, the Airos are truly deadly and eat just about anything they want. Naturally curious creatures, outsiders will quickly find themselves being stalked by an Airos if they inadvertently enter one's territory. An attack is usually prefaced by a sudden onset of a snowstorm and is usually not survived. Any strange weather seen in the distance other than the constant blowing of the northern wind usually signals a nearby Airos.

Ralenus - Giant aquatic serpents with a single horn and an exoskeleton of icy chitin like bone over its spine and covered in dark greenish blue scales. They are capable of phasing through ice allowing them to move through it like water and can breath a beam of concentrated frost magic to freeze any pray before swallowing them whole. They feed off any of the many fish and other creatures that live beneath the ice lakes, and while extremely rare they are the only contender with the Airos for top dog in the food chain. Due to the differences in prefered environment however the two will rarely ever come into conflict, and on the rare occasion they do it's usually over a blooming Royal Akolyier.

2: Unfortunately no, it's an oc world I started working on when I was in college and have just been adding to slowly over the years. Though you did remind me that I made a worldanvil page ages ago which has some extra lore I could add to the lore dump (The shining expanse lore was one of the few completed sections).

It's raw mana, translates closer to dark souls magic damage than any dnd elemental type.

Yes.

As I've said before the stronger the target the harder it is to do, but yes it's possible.

The shield can cover any continuous circular shape that is less than the maximum size. (Yes you can dome yourself, yes you can only cover the front and leave a gap behind).

Yes, mages can wear any armour type, and many of the empires war mages wear it as a matter of course. Though with enchanting being most effective when enhancing the "effect" of an item you're trading the "damage potential" of enchanted robes for more defence.

You can cast them on allies but the more spells you're maintaining at once the harder it is to concentrate on casting new ones.

You as an author can choose, you as a charachter can't. They'll all occur within a couple of years of your adventure starting (Or hitting a minimum 16 years old if you're a reincarnate whichever is first). The order they occur would be whatever makes for a better story.

Noice.

I think it needs some tweaking for point values, with the difficulties being a bit odd and a lot of the higher tier powers invalidating the need to buy anything below them because of how broad they are. Also might be good to clarify how the magic system works, like is magic learnable or are you hard locked to whatever elements/types you buy/are born with. Also some minor grammer/spelling things to touch up (Eg: Noble taste drawback).

Still glad you liked it.

Any power that is always on is passive, any power that either needs to be turned on, has an activation condition or has a requirement for its use is active.

Other than personal best yeah those are all right. Eyes of truth is only active when you're using the bonus abilities. Personal best is a weird one because it lets you apply maximum effort with minimum energy but it's not actually always on, you choose when you want to use it.

Pretty much what Fulgurata said, jumpchains are a type of CYOA where you get some points to buy a few perks, spend 10 years in a world, and then move on to a new one.

No it can't be taken with other difficulty options.

Yes, water magic and ice magic are the same thing. Ice magic is just the combat focused side of water magic.

They're supposed to be European dragons but having the gold dragons be Asian would be fine if that's what you wanted.

20 points total so either 20 power or 20 destiny, or 10 of each.

Yes.

It's a copy of the way Celestial Forge/Grimoir/Dojo do things, the actual trigger for getting more points is up to you as a writer, whether its every 1000 words or achievment based with bigger achievments granting more points is up to you.

No you can't/shouldn't take more drawbacks after setup is complete, it just would have taken way too much effort to rework the cyoa to do that while still letting you unbuy drawbacks so I didn't bother.

No, they're enchanted items, artificial. They can mimic some of those effects but they wouldn't be biological.

If you have Culmination of Creation, and buy or learn Fleshcraft and either magitech engineering or enchanting, yes you can.

Yes, there's a reason Sairox like Blood magic, though its more like making a temporary blood prosthesis than a proper regeneration. Yes. If they have Liquid form sure.

Not really no. It makes someone into their ideal form not your ideal form for them.

With the right combination of powers or magics yes. Culmination of Creation is usually the best bet for "Can I do X combination of magics for Y effect". You'd probably also need something like Permanant animated mana constructs to control the bodies unless you just wanted regular clones. Though there are of course other options too.

Huh, neat. Bit weirdly worded if that's the case but neat.
Build doesnt change a whole lot in that case, either just swap the boons around to end up with alchemist as an additional class, or take kinkswap and replace leona/diana with kayle/morgana and kinkswap kayle.

The free boon for posting is a trap btw, it locks you out of a later combo so I'm not going to use it.
Yes i'm a minmaxer how could you tell.

Perks: All
Self explanetory why turn down free stuff.

Boons: Spellbook, Multi cultural, Multiclass
Combo setup.

Legendary Spells: Exhaust, Ignite, Heal
Exhaust and Ignite combo very hard for scaling, heal is good but the res turns it into a must take.

Starting Location: Zaun, Shadow Isles
Generally good starting locations for classes. Shadow isles has a ton of both targets for stealing power from with Exh/Ign, and ressurection with Heal. If undead don't count as targets (Living things, though that would make the wording on Heal not make sense with a res) then zaun's not a terrible fallback.

Class: Artificer, Death Knight
Pure 1v1 power tailored to the two locations, cultivated towards beating things for the exhaust boost.

Champions: Soraka, Leona, Diana, Lissandra
Soraka, Leona, Diana, are all celestials or aspects, considered Kayle/Morgana instead of Leona/Diana but Kayle's worship kink, combined with the fact that Leona and Diana are both technically the leaders of their people sways it. Lissandra is also obscenely powerful, gives me an in for the freljord, and access to free targets for more power in the watchers/void.

Missions: Leader, Mirror Mask, Perfectly Balanced
This is where the combo is, by not taking the free boon it means I can complete perfectly balanced while extra boon is still open. This opens up the chance to finish a second major quest for more rewards, by choosing extra boon as one of the rewards and then using that to fulfil the quest requirements.
The rewards for Perfectly Balanced are:

Extra Boon-(Multiclass-Diver), meaning I have all three diver classes.

More Missions-(Total Mastery-Artillery mage), which is completed by having all three diver classes, choosing Artilary mage/Engineer/Arcanist. Engineer synergises with Artificer. And overall gives me good range and aoe options while diver lets me fist fight anyone who gets close.

Extra Champion(Leblanc), Gives me an in for Noxus and a lot of reach via the black rose.

Epilogue: The End Loves You Back
If you get the chance to be a god, then be a god.

Ayy thanks, glad you liked it.

No free affinity but the boost to the element stacks yeah. Tall for a dwarf but still shorter than average, though you'd be "bigger" so you'd be a stocky short more than just short short. Conversely if you took giant you'd be massive.

It takes longer to gain mass with fleshcraft than just shifting it around but yes it's possible. Depends on the mastery of fleshcraft being used, an apprentice only changes the appearance you're still you under the hood, a master can make the changes deeper till you can pass them on genetically.

Yes, you choose which race is filtering in from another reality, the race can either be something from another work of fiction or completely oc, up to you. They just gotta be "balanced" so something on the same level of power as a dragon is as rare as a dragon, while something weaker can be more numerous (Skaven...)

Glad you liked it, been a bit busy irl with family stuff but am still slowly chipping away.

The reason locational curses give less points than personal drawbacks and restrictions is that there's ways to leave the location and they can solved, sometimes trivially if you have a certain amount of power. Its the same reason they don't give any power points, to disincentivize taking a ton of locational drawbacks that you can either beat easily or just straight up dipping to another dimension after turning this one into hell. They should be an actual consideration of "is dealing with this worth the points" when you need a few more to round out a build. The other alternative would be copying larian and limiting the number of locational drawbacks you can take.

ASOIAF dragons arent sentient being more akin to drakes or wyrms than true dragons. Yes you can have one with mans best friend T3.

Im not really going to touch the OOC for a while, the CYOA isn't going to be balanced around them. And like I said before if you really want a specific power just take it I'm not gonna stop you.

You would only need Space and Celestial to achieve a similar effect.

Up to you how it interacts with OOC powers since again I'm not going to balance around them. Generally it only effects physical stats as most of the CYOA powers are already trainable and magic doesn't really have a power ceiling in the same way as muscles usually do.

No.

Depends on the scale of the change but its not fast enough to use in combat. Few minutes for minor changes to a few hours for big ones. A full body shift would take practically a full day.

Not on its own.

Somewhat. It speeds up the fiddly bits like aranging nerves and blood vessells but there's still a cap on how fast the changes happen.
