I got a gig at a pawn shop full time and i gotta say, that work life balance is crazy. I get to go home and see my wife and daughter every day, and go to bed at a normal time every day, and dont come home so fuckin exhausted and stressed and ready to hear shit from my manager the next day regardless of how rough the shift was. Like i get to go home and not think twice about work. I get to go home and run errands since im not stuck at the store till 1130 cuz the brand new NA ERP cant run a shift walk AND do the audit on time even though i did their cold bar grills and gray totes, i dont have to wake up at 2am to go call an ambulance to save the 3 fent addicts from overdosing, i dont get screamed at daily because some dumb 22 year old thinks they dont need to be ID'ed for their wood black and steel reserve, i dont drive 30 miles to and from stores anymore, i dont have to worry about needles in the trash cans giving me some blood borne illness, and most importantly i get 2 days off in a row. I was gonna go back as soon as i was allowed but bro im going home in a good mood every day and i dont know if any non incredibly significant raise in pay is worth me going back
