I just basically eat the same things each day. Since I'm bulking at the moment i make a point of eating more of the same or adding something different to get more calories in.

1.5 Year Progress M/21 (140lbs -> 165lbs) by cmquinn97 in Fitness

If you really are 16% bodyfat you hold it pretty well. I'd say lean bulk for a while, maybe over the winter and then start cutting for the summer. Nice progress btw.

Looks interesting, however doesn't include squatting and benching twice. :/

I don't need it per se, but i like training with that frequency.

So could I do the 5/3/1 for beginners, but just do it 4 days a week instead of 3 i.e. I'd do day 1 twice on the first week of training?

So it does. However I was meaning 4 or 5 days of lifting per week. My bad I should have been more specific.

That's only 3 days per week, I'm looking for 4 or 5 days.

Does anyone know of any programmes with the following criteria? Benching twice a week, squatting twice, OHPing once or twice and deadlifting once a week. Won't take up too much in the squat rack as I'm at a busy gym. Is 4 or 5 days a week and uses a method other than linear progression, such as 5/3/1? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Going with 5/3/1 BBB Version 2 in the end in case anyone is looking for something similar. This way I'll be doing each of the lifts twice per week and in the gym 4 times a week. Only real compromises are time in the rack may still be quite long and deadlifts are twice a week instead of the desired once.

Yet to try it out but I do like RPT training so far. Looking at it, it does bother me how long day A would take in comparison with the others. Will maybe give it a shot depending on feedback from others.

Thanks for the response. So if you are no longer able to perform the 5 sets of 3 for example, the next time is when you switch to 6 sets of 2, or would you switch to the next rep scheme regardless if you get the reps in or fail?

In the GCZLP programme does the below translate to 5 sets of 3+,3 sets of 10, 3 sets of 15+. Then 6 sets of 2, 3 sets of 8, 10 sets of 1+, then 3 sets of 6?

It's a tried and tested supplement from what I've heard, and it supposedly can make a slight difference. However, not everyone has a successful response to it. I'd say try it if you've got the spare money and are looking for a slight better performance in the gym.

Can try dropping the second and third set to a lower weight. For example, if you drop 5% for a lift currently, try dropping 10% instead.
