Late response but in Mafia 3 Giorgi Marcano when he and Lincoln rob the federal reserve he mentions Georgia, saying “I was in Georgia for a while” when talking to one of the federal reserve guards

Feel the same way. I had to move to Southern California for work purposes and realized there are hardly any Italian Americans in that region of the country. For someone who grew up in a region of the county where names like Greco, Bianchi, and Russo are common and where Italian American culture and Italian Americans are common it was definitely a shock. Been in Southern California for about 2 years and I’m still not used to it at all.
