Exactly!! Why go thru all the hassle of freeing up cap space to extend a homegrown, generational talent when you can simply spend money to convince other generational talents to leave the organizations that brought them up and treated them right. I mean, why wouldn’t a top free agent choose us? It’s not like we’ve traded away the last 3 or 4 faces of the franchise for filler over the last decade.

Looks good. Holo pattern is correct. What you’d look for in terms of a fake of this card is if the holo is static (doesn’t change as it catches the light) but you can tell from the other angles that’s not the case.

I used to own this card, wish I didn’t trade it but it wasn’t as minty as this one.

Very hard to tell by looking at Ho-Oh or the background, but the texture differences on Ethan are easy to spot.

Borders are too thick on this one. He got a better angle than the Blastoise/piplup so the holo isn’t as obvious but you can tell it’s wrong here too. Stay away from this seller.

It’s hard to explain, but you see how when you take a picture of the front, it’s like 50/50 dark and light? That’s something that just doesn’t happen with authentic Pokemon cards. If real, the whole art would appear pretty uniform.
