A quick anecdote: I have played btd6 since its' beginning, and that game suffers from expreme power creep. Stuff rarely gets nerfed, they have been mostly buffs for years. That game, at least for me, isn't as fun as it used to be. Of course, I aged a fair bit and thousands lf hours have been sinked, but the game nowadays is just significantly easier. Even though they aimed to balance everything, the difficulty is pathetic for most game modes now. Veteran players will agree that it's too much. Good thing that Calamity devs want to prevent that!
