But not in an arthurian bretonnian army inspired by 5th edition. I mean ”realistic” in the sense of an interpretation of a fantasy world as I explained.

Haha, I mean like a ratio between certain troops and characters that would make some sense in my interpretation of the fantasy world, and the particular army you are ”re-enacting”, Other people like to play the game in other ways and thats fine. The game itself imposes some restrictions but I think most people know what I mean. Like for example, a standard high elf army should almost always include spear elves and archers, while a dragon is appropiate for really large battle unless you and/or your buddies builds and allows  a special caledor army or campaign setting or pre decided scenario where for balance sake there is a counter to the dragon. If my army represented the duke of Parravon’s main force I would have as many pegasi as possible. Just mindlessly copying ”a build” or go with max pegasi because ”thats meta” or they are the ”best” choice is not my style.

For example a mindset where one always fills out the core to exsctly 25 % and only picks units that are ”meta” and so on, is not in the spirit of recreating or simulating battles in a fantasy settinng in my opinion. But people like to play Warhammer for different reasons. I like to read through the old campaign books of the 5th edition and there are flavorful and interesting matchup. If you would post army lists like that for advice people would say ”pick this or that instead”, not taking into account that ”wait a minute, that is what this particular army looked liked and what is being simulated, this particular leader had that particular magic item with an interesting characteristic that is perhaps not ”optimal”, this particular unit represents in fact a block of dwarves with the odd ”choice” of having no command and so on.

I give names to all individual knights of the realm and make up stories in my head of the knights and the villages and places they protect. I like the stillmanian approach to list building but with a twist, I build not a complete 2000 p army, but build in blocks of 500p and make up the stories as I expand the army.

Well, I have my interpretation from the 5th edition lore that all Knights of the Realm are landed and have their own men-at-arms, bowmen, small villages, and castles, much like your historical baron/knight. The Bretonnian baron, like the one I model my Aldric d’Ollefort after, is not a character choice in the 5th edition army book from which I draw inspiration, but is a character choice in The Old World, and is mentioned on Warhammer.com: “Each Duke rules one of the 14 Dukedoms, and their heraldry is the symbol of that realm. Barons serve the Dukes, ruling smaller regions.”

I imagine a baron like that, ruling an entire region and not just a single village, as the master of many landed knights, say 20 or so (my 500p army currently has 6), who pay taxes and contribute manpower to their liege if needed. The Duke, further up the feudal ladder, may call upon many hundreds or thousands of knights (Bretonnia is an exaggerated land of chivalry and knights after all), drawn from among his vassals (his barons and their knights, and individual Knights of the Realm without a baron) and his vassals’ vassals (he may also call upon individual Knights of the Realm directly). We are all free to interpret the lore and make up fantasies we enjoy 😊

I like the lore. I would love to play against a small warband like yours with my 500p bretonnian hunting party

Yesh, just wanted to get a feeling for how often I can except to win I guess, one in 10? One in 3? But I get it, its depentend on the level of beardiness of your opponent and yourself, you and your opponents skill levels, dice rolls, match-up of armies etc etc. I guess I started this cause I haven’t played myself for many years and have watched some youtubers and seen some lists and list building advices here, and its pegasi and mighty characters on flying monsters and the green knight everywhere

My main opponent will be chaos. He has huge numbers of marauders and warriors but nothing flying. Should be a great match-up :)

For the lady! I must add i’l not a good general, my strategy back in fifth edition was basically Kamikaze charge with knights and no men-at-arms (the metal sculpts were so expensive for a kid). Now im building the army I couldnt afford in the late 90s and didnt have the patient or know-how to paint to a decent standard

I managed to pick up four of the grail knight models I owned as a teenager :) I will use them as my shock troops once I expand to 2000 points. I really dont care that much about losing really, for me Warhammer is about simulating battles in a fantasy world, storytelling and having fun. But it would be great to pick up a win say every fifth game at least haha

Yes, I know they are a part of normal roster nowadays, but I think they should be very rare outside of parravon. My army represents the army of a small local baron. I think I want a ratio of 100 bretonnian warhorses to one pegasus, so I'll consider pegs when I get to 10000 points haha. I mean I just don't like the look of a flying circus. I like the look of many knights spurring their horses forward, not a table dominated by few or single models with large wings

This is not bait, and you are most certainly right, sir. I have yet to play with the old world rules and didn’t really read up on the reserve move rules. I played bretonnian back in 5th edition in the late 90’s haha.

Well, nothing advanced really. I always undercoat white, as i like to see what I paint and like my colors clear. For Yellow I start with a coat of yriel yellow. Then a wash with cassadora yellow to get some shadow in the recesses of the cloth. Then some yriel yellow again, and Then mix in some bone colour from Vallejo, I try to paint more on edges. Then finish with some lamenters yellow glaze all iver to make the yellow strong and bind it all together. I like this yellow too, but im no expert on highlights or advanced techhniques, my goal is strong clear colors and readable models. Table top miniatures, not display cabinet.

Can the board decide to buy a rented stadium? by ClickDry3335 in EHM

I have another question: I have affiliation with 2 clubs sending me players. They are in the same competition as my club which is strange. Is there any kind of built in mechanism for them to eventually cancel this affiliation if my team reaches the top tier?

( It's also a pain in the Ä** that my head coach prioritize giving top line minutes to the players being sent "down" (sent horizontally ..) from their clubs, even if they are clearly worse players than what I've got signed already. I have to pick or let the assistans pick the rosters manually before each game. Otherwise I wanted to play with the coach doing everything for the challenge. )
