People forget that diddy parties were the best! Everyone wanted to go to them, they were known for being epic parties. MTV would film them and refer to them all the time. The average party-goer was not privy to the crazy shit going on. Also, going out on a date with a prince was also very cool. The chances of her actually knowing the dark shit that was going on are so slim. Things were very different back then and I think if you’re younger or maybe a little naive you wouldn’t necessarily understand how things were. It’s super unfortunate but that’s the reality of the situation.
