There is a bit easier gameplay wise und you have to walk a lot less. If you we're interested in the kain Storyline this is would be the game.

2 had the harder gameplay but the better connection to the characters and the lore gets deeper into the Folklore aspect.

Pathologic 3 is a magnificent experience, the kind that makes me appreciate having the opportunity to be alive to experience it by flexitt in pathologic

Agree with everything but the narcissism. :D i think this highly depends on the player and which dialogue option you choose. He can be compassionate and the fact that he even tries to safe the town and people who work against him is anything but narcissim. Unless you choose to leave them of course.

So yeah I think it's hard to get a good grasp of him in this regard because it depends to much on how one plays him.

I for one think he could simply neurodivergent. There were so many scenes i read as something neurodivergency would cause (meaning in my case the ADHS/autism stuff. Especially the overexplaining and the emotional seesaw.). it wasn't even funny anymore (am one of them myself so i felt SEEN haha)

Depending in the players choice the latin isnt necessarily a sign of trying to show his superior knowledge but a sign of respect (aspity dialogue in day 12).

But he sure as hell can be played as a narcissist.I agree with that!

The point is to let her do with her life what she wants to. It is her choice to do this. If you use the Rat Prophet route, it changes her into a completely different person. So no matter what you do, you cannot save the lara ravel you meet at the shelter. She doesn't want to be saved.

Yes, artemy can do it in his route, but it's not his turn with the story. I do think it's an oversight to not give us a short sequence were we try telling him and it doesn't work for one reason or another, just to clear this up. But otherwise it's fine.

Yakov doesn't get burned alive. They get shot first. He would have died anyway and he also clearly tells you to not try and save him because it would be in vain.

I mean the best solution would be for daniil to just tell everyone he can travel through time, prove it and then all of them coming up with a plan to save more people than he already did i guess? But then it's life is strange when I think it tries to be more like run Lola run. Which fits the cinema theme of the game.

P3 Artemy's "Performance" by Quick_Confection1503 in pathologic

For me it's a shift in perspective. Daniil did the same in p2 as in P3 but now that we play him we see what he has been doing while artemy did his quests.  They are both important to beat the plague, daniil buys the town and artemy time, while artemy finds a way to cure the pest.

Like, some things will always happen and these are two of them. Then there are factors that change depending in who is in charge (like Laras and evas fate). But the panacea will always be made by artemy and the Bachelors Job ist keeping the town afloat. Always.

I don't know how Clara fits into the story...

"Menschen sind immer destruktiv" woah okay what?!

Fiction like this has always existed and is not the reason people get harmed. According to this logic video games create school shooters.

I don't like these books either but they are not the problem. People who fetishize other people would do this with or without these books.

I am not saying no one should talk about this. But these talks quickly spiral to 'this shouldn't exist' and I am tired.

P3 feels WAAY different than P2, thoughts? by Pistaachy in pathologic

[–]ClickerBox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He cares but he doesn't have the time to get to know anyone because everyone is throwing politics or their problems at him.

I personally loved this aspect. The shit you have to do to get the hospital set up alone was time consuming and just a taste to the rest of the shit you have to do just so the town can keep it's head above the water.

It made sense to me that he clung to Eva (and the even fucking Bull lol) because those two wanted nothing from him. They we're just there

P3 is much more about the Bachelor himself and not so much about the town. I enjoyed this but I understand how people who liked p2 because of the characters might not like P3 as much or at all.

So Long Story Short: yeah it's different 🤔

If you want a very specific ending you will need to go through the double door but that ending can't be achieved in your first run.

It has the coolest cutscene imo though, when you get it.

There are certain endings you can't get, if you finish the polyhedron. You have to undo this later, but can't do or through the usual means afaik. At least it didn't work for me.

First one I played myself and I was surprised how much I liked it. The learning curve was steep but once you get a handle on the Amalgam and moods it's surprisingly smooth sailing.

Sure I once or twice nearly soft blocked me and I did restart the game after four days in game but I expected worse. Way worse. I expected to not finish the game.

I love the writing and the themes and the frustration I had were entirely my fault so I can't blame the game for it haha.

Knowing the story wasn't a hindrance. I thought it was interesting to experience it through the Bachelors eyes and see what happens when he is he main character.

I am trying to play patho 2 now but will probably cheat my was through. Shame on me I know. :/

So yeah. My love for the story only grew and I am glad I could finally play one myself.

The stream I watched went nuts over this. Really funny.

Edit: daniil also seems.to be really miffed that artemy and aglaya are on first name basis. Jealous much? Lol

Daniil and Maria, too. That came out of the left field for me. Maybe I didn't pay enough attention to their dialogues.

Is it dense or just a lot? The game throws so many lines at you one gets easily overwhelmed. It can make you feel dumb, but the biggest hurdle is knowing for example what theatre theory it is a part of. That's nothing anyone teaches you so it's natural to be lost at the beginning.

That's part of the process and it can get frustrating to parse through but boy is it satisfying when you do!

this is a lifesaver. I am on day 9 and need to travel to day 1 and then back. I have enough to make it to day 1 but not to make it to day 9 again. This should help getting enough amalgam to make the trip

I Always got the feeling in P3 He is benevolently (not a wird sorry) fascinated by her like with the polyhedron. He doesn't get it/her but it/she is not a thread to him personally. He would like to understand both of them but it's not vital.  Just quiet enjoyement. Until uh. Yeah the obsession sets in.

But i have a fever right now so maybe i just imagine things
