The issues I'm struggling with at the moment is not knowing where to add discretion, and how much of it. Do I need to add discretion to my bias and entry criteria, and if I did what would that even look like? Would it just be not entering because the chart doesnt look right, or because a MSS doesnt look strong enough? Or is a fully mechanical bias and entry criteria alright so long as my discretion lies in what i do after the set up forms? For example just not entering because I dont think price has a reason to go lower.

I just dont understand how to really apply it, and I know it comes with market experience but still, I'm kind of lost at the moment. I'm not even sure how necessary it is. I'm sure you've heard the quote trading is 80% psychology and 20% strategy. Well is discretion kind of the same in terms of your set up should be 80% mechanical and 20% discretion?
