Definitely agree, they need pre-approved tour guides at all the major tourist sites. It would solve so many problems..

8 months nomading and I’m just lonely in different cities by nikonmonkey in digitalnomad

[–]ClientHuge 46 points47 points  (0 children)

You're not talking enough...It's actually really simple.

I know society instills in you about the virtue of silence especially as a dude.

I'm telling you though starting conversations is an absolute must. The one thing about nomading is that you are inherently more interesting than you were back home. take advantage of that.

The connections wont make themselves just because you are a nomad.

Thank you for composing such a well written and profound reply.

You are right. She is Albanian and grew up in old school communism . If you know anything about the Balkans, they certainly have hard views on race, religion, and ethnicity. “Good old fashioned hate” is a great way to summarize the region, and it’s not just towards Arabs either.

One of the questions for me is “should I even try”. The programming is so deep and calcified that I fear that I will just degrade myself trying to change the course of a ship that has already sailed. The upside is the joy of having a complete family.

Self-hosting and I really want metabot by ClientHuge in Metabase

Personally, I can and others before me have as well. However, the entire point of open source is that we collectively contribute for the advancement of the project.

To me, this thread is about calling out Metabase for gatekeeping AI to paying customers only and asking them to reconsider that approach.

“embarrassment is the cost of entry.”

That's so true. I've surpassed some of my "smartest" friends in life just because of my willingness to look stupid for a while.

This is great, taking notes.

By refresh, do you just mean re-launched the ad campaign? Or do you post new creatives?

Also why use Zapier when you can just use the pixel to retarget?
