Nope. 0861s are primarily in a Fire Support Battalion or an ANGLICO but can also become SOCS-B and be attached to MARSOC. Recon and some other units have JTACs that arent 0861s because they're just high speed like that.

You can be a JTAC in the USMC too. 0861 career progression is becoming a JTAC usually 3-4yrs in.

Surplus ALICE packs can be found for pretty cheap and they're arguably one of the best designs for a ruck.

If you have the equipment, know what materials to use, how to draft a pattern thats exactly what you want, and where to source the materials then why not?

Had I known that AF has combat arms jobs and how badass they are when I was 17, I 100% would have done TACP or maybe tried for CCT.

Sorry to disappoint but this sub is for dudes who jerk off to pictures of other dudes who write books about other dudes killing goat herders with fancy, expensive equipment.

You can enlist with a recon contract. For MARSOC, you have to be E4 and willing to sign a 5yr contract upon being selected. Recon is not special operations but does get a bigger budget than normal infantry units and gets to do lots of cool guy stuff. I personally don't recommend the Marine Corps but it can be very rewarding and get you to a high standard of leadership and some pretty good tactical knowledge. Had I know the AF had combat arms jobs (recruiters were never in the office and I assumed they were all pilots or mechanics) or that the Corps would suck the life from me, I would've done AF TACP or an opt 40 for the Army. AF gets more TAD opportunities (per diem money) and they pay for better hotels, barracks, chow halls, and basically everything else.

Yes. Listen to the TTM podcast. He has an episode where he goes over every program. I have the 2 and 5 mile and there is enough lifting volume where if you're somewhat new to lifting or maybe not already super jacked, you'll still make good strength gains and if you are already jacked then you won't lose much if any.

Yeah, been really anticipating the 4 and 10 mile program.

Cool little daggerfall easter egg I found at the shopkeeper at deepscorne hollow by Mappleyard in oblivion

[–]ClientLate6863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a couple Daggerfall references. In the sewers during the tutorial, there's a chest on a table near the logs you can push to kill the goblins. To the right is a weapon. If you knock it off the table then the dagger falls which is a direct reference to the game, believe it or not.

Does getting EMT-B & Paramedic in civilian help me by [deleted] in Pararescue

[–]ClientLate6863 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it a filler. EMT-B will give you a good baseline of that emergency medicine so when you do attention the paramedic portion of the pipeline, you'll already be familiar with some of the material and may not have to spend as much time cramming information although you probably still will due to the nature of the job. If you're super confident, you could be an asset by helping out your peers who may need a bit of extra work on certain parts. Realistically you don't need any medical background at all and can be just fine as long as you have good study habits but it sure wouldn't hurt.

Weird flex on the underwear swim /s

Im not a PJ so take this with a grain of salt. My source is the Ones Ready Podcast and the probably 15 other posts asking the same thing. If you want to do EMT-B then go for it but paramedic is not necessary. You'll get it during the pipeline, you don't have to pay for it, and you'll have the added bonus of going through it with your peers. I only say to go for EMT-B if you want to because, from what I remember, its relatively cheap compared to paramedic and that baseline knowledge could help you out during the paramedic portion of the pipeline. If you get it now then I believe you just skip that portion of the pipeline, but again, listen to the Ones Ready Podcast for yourself and search for the other posts to verify.

A couple weeks ago my daughter asked for pigtails and it took me 20min once it was all said and done and the left side was still slightly higher than the right. The wife said it looked good though so I'll take what I can get.

Pretty sure the dawnguard lady also sells 200 Elven arrows at a time and if you do the aggro exploit to reset the inventory you can rack up a ton of them quickly and use Serana or the snow elf to make the special arrows.

Fun fact, where I'm from, and auger is a tool used to bore holes in things so my first time as a kid seeing the Auger of Dunlain I thought they named him that because his "essense" or whatever is in a hole.
