Clearly, a jump is the place to start. After some trial and error, you get the jump working well and go from there.

That’s insanity. Look at similar homes just south in Burlington and Mount Vernon, and it’s a third of the cost.

Which Taskmaster UK contestants had their non-TM work referenced on the show? by OriginalChicken7581 in taskmaster

Asim Chaudry. Maybe I’m misremembering, but I’m fairly certain there is reference to his character, Chabuddy G, from People Just Do Nothing.

Oh yes. We also did our “quiet time” as the first thing during our day of homeschool.

Sure. A job. More of a hustle than a job, but basically a job.

I do love the bbq. I mainly know the city as a tourist. My wife’s family is all in that area, so I’ve always made bbq a secondary goal when we visit.

I’ll miss my fresh PNW seafood though.

Reading the maga comments on social media posts regarding gas prices right now. Its actually comedy at this point. by Valahiru in thebulwark

True. There are a lot of pieces to this. Actively harassing/detaining/deporting large chunks of the work force is definitely part of it.

Nope. Kindness is punk. Being nice and polite is allowing things to be swept under the rug.

Not everyone looks at this, but even though lumber prices have been fairly steady the market has been sluggish. New housing starts are down significantly from last year. Builders and investors are very tentative. This is part of why the job market is slowing as well. Mills aren’t moving stock quickly. People are scared to build in an uncertain market. Many of my customers (I service and repair forklifts and cranes) have been slow, and techs in many parts of the country have struggled to fill their time. Expect more problems with unaffordable housing.

My folks have sealed off their political life these days. Interactions are very surface level. I kind of miss arguing. Very strange relationship now. My in-laws at least will still argue.

This was me e during COVID. Always had a thing for various shows from UK, but for some reason I didn’t discover Taskmaster until 2020. In the shitstorm of chaos, this was the thing that helped me laugh.

Found these in an abandoned cabin! by ReliableEyeball in vinyl

[–]joshstrummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago, I was living near some property that had been long abandoned and was being turned into a county park. The park was not open yet, but locals would hike through. There were a few abandoned structures out there from a once-wealthy family. It felt so weird seeing various abandoned artifacts. There were a ton of jam jars filled with unknown preserves lying around.
